PlasmaPower
I'm watching you nerds
I'm getting the New 3DS because of Xenoblade Chronicles.
I would have freaked out. That's awesome! I really need a new 3DS and I loooove Majora's Mask so that surprise would have been the best. I'm jealous but also happy for you![]()
I do plan on getting a New 3DS if I manage to nab an MM edition, but otherwise I will probably wait. I do plan on getting Majora's Mask either way though, although probably not on release day. c: And that sounds awesome!
If you don't mind me asking an unrelated question, how do you like working at Gamestop? I might be moving into the city soon which means chances are high I'm going to end up working retail again sigh. ;-; I'm considering applying at EB Games (I'm in Canada), so I'm sure there are slight differences from the US, but just curious. I've heard they used to go by a sales motivated kind of structure (almost as if by commission even though it's not) and now are more customer-service oriented. I'm mostly just curious if your performance is judged solely by sales numbers, as I've worked in places like that before and unless you have a great manager it's not my cup of tea.
I, however, do not like pushing the Pro card on people. Because if you're a gamer, you probably already have it. So I ask if they wanna sign up. They say no. I'm done. My manager however, expects us to ask, then explain, then ask again. He wants them to basically say no three times. Just to make sure, and by then people are probably frustrated, and I don't like doing that.
This is basically my concern as I am the same way.
I have noticed at the EB I would be applying at they ask once and that is it, so I guess that's a good sign for the location. And everyone seems nice, that's basically why I go there because the other local one is a lot smaller and most of the employees sound like they want to punch you.
But anyways, thank you for all the information, it's very helpful! I would talk to the people at the store, as I said they are all very nice, but I feel odd asking people about their jobs in that kind of situation, I guess.
I'm mostly considering it because like you, I enjoy gaming (obviously, haha) so I figured it I end up working retail I might as well be selling something I know about/like, rather than clothes or something. It seems like the environment would be a little more interesting since it's something I enjoy.
Anyways thank you again, I appreciate you taking the time to answer in such detail! c:
