To weed, or not to weed?

I weeded my town and set the Beautiful Town Ordinance so I can get the topiary PWPs. I really only like a few pieces of the weeding furniture so I figure it'd be easier to just buy the pieces I want.

If you talk to Leif, you can ask him to pick all the weeds in your town. He'll say if you don't have any at all. I have him in the Emporium, though, so I'm not sure if he offers this service all the time.

Topiaries. I've had the perfect spot for one since November when I found out about them, and I got the Weeding Day set a while ago off of the Re-Tail board.

Yeah, I'm just going with the pwp because 1. I like them a lot and will definitely use them, 2. i didn't want to take my town off of beautiful ordinance because I have too many flowers and 3. I only really wanted like two things from the weeding day furniture and I was able to buy them on the re-tail board

i'm scared that there might be one weed hiding in the corner of my town.

This is my nightmare.

Myself and a few other people actually host weeding events in the train station forum.
Mine are when Leif wants to do the weeding mini game... to pull weeds like weeding day and when they are all pulled, he will give you a weeding day item. And it can have as many as will fit in your town, 4, doing it and everyone who at least pulled 1 ((or so they say but I say 5 to be safe)) gets an item.
So, it's possible to get the items in other ways other than weeding day. =3

I do that as well so I'm going weedless so that I can get the topiaries. There's only one chance per year to get the topiaries, and if need be I can just wait for lief to show up with the weeding mini game to get the weeding furniture.

Going for those topiaries. My friend commented on how part of my town didn't go so well with the theme in that area. The topiaries could change that.

Well, even if you pull the weeds, it'd be less of a hassle for tomorrow. And you'd also be done with the mini-game. But personally, I'd go for topiaries, and just for the sake of your town. And... Also to avoid having a pesky Rafflesia. I hate those as much as I hate Tabby the Cat. And that's a burning passion.
