To Make A New Save, To Not Make A New Save... That is The Question!

Hi there,

I have quite the dilemma. I have just got a brand new 3DS, and after around a year and a half of not playing my animal crossing save, I have enjoyed the idea of recreating my town. However, I would like to keep some of the things I own (Some money, rare items including clothes etc.) But the other problem is, I am very indecisive and would like a good layout along with Pekoe as one of my starter villagers..

I could request for someone to keep my items, but it could take an extended length of time to obtain the town I wish for, is there any advice anyone could give me in this situation?

If it's Pekoe you'd like to have as a starter villager, why not have a Mulan/Chinese/Asian inspired town?


But ultimately it's up to you if it's worth losing money, rare items and clothes. Money can be gotten easily if you exploit the Island and sell the coconut tree bugs, but as for the items/clothes... I guess the best thing you could do is buy them from someone here on this forum. Specifically, the Flea Market. Make a wishlist!

Since tiers dont matter anymore, getting back your villagers wont be a problem.

You may ask a friend to hold your money too if you dont want to lose it all, and if you want, you can just trade for igb here in the forums for tbt. The estimate value is 1 tbt = 300000 igb
It’s up to you whether you want to stay the same forever or do it all over again for more fun in the process.

I have a question: Does native fruit and grass shape matter to you? If so, trying to get Pekoe as your starter villagers while getting a good town map can be a hassle.

As someone who has attempted this, it is near impossible. You are better off waiting for the villager to arrive naturally via campsite or using an Amiibo card. Or just adopt from another town.

Thank you for the advice sweetie! I played around on my save, and I was bored after literally a couple minutes. I still have many of my dreamies in my town (Julian, Beau, Rudy and Pashmina) So I am a little clingy on what I have already done, but it looks like as long as I have the perfect town ordinance I am not gonna really bother playing it without restarting and making anew completely. Items, clothes etc I can like you said make a wishlist, and most of what I have got I have pretty much hoarded anyway. So maybe just a blank restart is the best way for me. ^_^

I like your idea of making that theme!! I kinda had no clue what I was doing first of all.. hehe! xD

Ah, thank you for this information! I wasn't aware that tiers are now long gone, that tells you how long it's been for me. xD And thank you for that estimate, I am really leaning to restarting now, hehe!

To answer your question, I never knew that grass shape was a thing! I am fine with whatever native fruit I get, as long as the layout and my villagers are good, that is fine with me.
