To Audie, or not to Audie?

I'm neutral about Audie. I just appreciate she's not another snooty wolf.

She's vibrant, got a cute exterior/interior, but it's a shame about that fitness hobby. A lot of people let her go for that very reason: constantly exercising and not enough time wearing that adorable muu-muu. It's why I let go of Bangle, too.

Ultimately, the choice is yours.

The starter villagers are a special case though. Their interior will change to their original if adopted by someone else. You can then reinvite that same villager back to your island and they’ll retain the new interior they gain during their vacation. I’ve heard that they will still have the items you gifted them, if any, and their original interior will change a bit because of that.

I firmly believe this works. So my plan would be as following:

1- Get Audie in the 4th generic house that is build for a peppy villager.
2- Wait for the day she decides to move out, and agree to that plan.
3- Have a friend pick her up and wait for her to move in once one of his/her villagers leaves.
4- Wait 4-5 days before my friend starts scanning an amiibo card, eventually kicking Audie out.
5- I come pick her up when she's in boxes and wait for her to move back to my island.

This would mean she'd be, say 2 weeks away.
But can she move back in so quickly? Wasn't there a cycle of villagers you'd have to go through before an "old" resident returns?

Your plan is completely correct. In NH there is no void you need to clear out or cycle through to move a previous resident back in like you had to in NL. So she can move back that quickly.

I agree with the posters who said they prefer Audie having the base peppy villager house. The interior of Audie’s actual house doesn’t do anything for me. I’ve never personally had her but I’ve tried to get her :)

Audie's starter house is actually not bad. It's not the house of a glamorous pop star but at least it's somewhat color coordinated.I was lucky enough to find her on my third ever trip to the Nook Islands.

I invited Audie from an island trip, and must say, there really isn't anything special about her other than the fact she's new to the series. Her home is okay, her dialogue is fine, but I don't know, I just don't see the appeal.

I mean, you can say the same thing about any villager. They're all one of the same 8 personality types and one of the same 35 species. Objectively, there's really nothing special about any of them. You can replace Audie with any other fitness peppy and your island will have the same dynamic from a strictly gameplay standpoint. The 'appeal' of villagers is wholly subjective. You don't like Audie and that's okay, other people do like her and that's also okay. The beauty of Animal Crossing is that there's enough villager variety within the personality and species constraints that there should be something for everyone.

You're 100% correct, except "any villager" isn't considered Tier 1. Audie has that distinction, and in my opinion, it's only because she's new. Liking or not liking any particular villager is subjective, I get that, and I subjectively don't understand the appeal.

personally i prefer audie's starter house, probably because she was my starter peppy, so i never had her with the regular house...
i think it's probably better to get her thru the mystery island thing you were talking about. saves time

or you could purchase her on Nookazon or Discord
good luck finding her!!

Audie for sure!! She’s the cutest bestest bean there is. I have her and I love her. That being said, I tried to do what you’re planning on doing on my second island and it is easier said than done. Campsite method atleast prevents the campers from coming back whereas you can find the same campers over and over again on the nook mile islands. Case in point, I found bangle three times. Eventually gave up on that method. Might be easier to adopt her if that’s something you’re interested in! Otherwise best of luck getting the little fox!

Id counter that she has the distinction because she’s a wolf, which tend to be popular, and she’s extremely cute to most people, subjective but a criteria all the tier 1 villagers fit. I feel she has more than the new factor (megan and cyd for instance aren’t as popular). Her coloring is quite striking and unique for villagers and I knew she was a must have for me when she was released because I absolutely adore foxes. But absolutely agree that it’s all subjective. Fill our islands with our own dreamies :)

To play devil's advocate for why so many people like her besides being new, she fills an otherwise empty niche (like others have said, female wolves are Skye + an army of snooties - Audie is a welcome bit of variety in a species that is very uniform personality-wise) It's the same with Dom. He fills the niche of being the least jock-looking jock. Part of what drives the demand for the new villagers is the lack of amiibos, yes, but even once amiibos come out, I foresee them still being fairly popular.
