Tips on getting villagers to ask for pwp projects??

I have been wanting the wooden bridge for a while now but none of the cranky villagers are asking for pwps, I'm wondering if anyone has any tips and tricks to get villagers to request pwps and what worked best for you thank you

The diving trick is pretty effective.

Usually, what I do is look up the pwp wiki, then I check through my villagers
Ex: I want a windmill, so I need a smug. kyle, my dreamie, is a smug, so I wait for him to ping me.

Pinging usually takes a While, so what I usually do, is go towards him (HE MUST BE OUTSIDE!) and see if he pings me. If he doesnt, I end the day and TT towards the next day, then I repeat the steps. Got my pyramid pwp that way.

Edit: the diving trick is effective, BUT VERY SLOW.

I know a lot will say the diving trick. But I've always done the horde all the seashells in my inventory and casually stalk the villager(s).

I'll pick up all seashells till inventory is packed. Then I just make constant rounds around my town passing the said villager. It'll take awhile. Takes a lot of patience.

Lmfao, I have 4 Crankies in my town. I'm totally happy with it.
I havent received any pwps from any of them, though.
(Thats ironic, lmao)

say i have finished 5 minutes of diving and a villager that I don't want to ping me pings me like a jock villager do I then have to go get back in the water for another 5 minutes?? I'm searching round my town for the cranky villagers but keep getting spotted by my other villagers it's a pain haha

Yeah, sadly, you have to wait another ~5 minutes to get another ping. Some people trap the desired villager with holes, but I'm too nice to do that, so I just end up ninja-walking around town, hiding behind trees from the other villagers.

Definitely takes some perseverance.

Oh, and if you don't get any pings for a while, you have to talk to a villager and be reminded about taking breaks before you can get more pings.

A good time to get Cranky PWP is 3am to 4am. The Cranky villagers are the only villagers outside during that time. If you get nothing you could leave the game without saving and roll the clock back to 3am.

Also very important to note: in order to have bridge PWPs suggested, you can't have 3 bridges built. No characters will suggest a bridge PWP unless you have 2 or fewer bridges currently built in your town. If you have 3, you will have to demolish one and patiently wait for a villager to ping and suggest it.

I'm definitely going wrong here then.. looks like I'll have to demolish a bridge. Iv played this game for a while now and literally never new that thank you.

I only have 2 cranky villagers in my town, I'm going to do what alwayscoffee suggested and demolish a bridge and take your advice and tt to 3am in the morning (never awake at that time haha) hopefully that will help thank you

I have followed the advice above and my cranky villager did ask for a pwp but just my luck he asked for a drilling rig instead of the bridge haha but its a start I suppose

A few weeks ago I was rearranging flowers from the beach to the town and was getting pinged like crazy. I don't know why and I haven't attempted it since but I'd play around with that if you don't like the diving trick

the driving trick is probably the most effective but it's still too much of a hassle for me. i'm never lucky
