Tips on getting rid of a tan?

I remember when I first got the game three years ago (before I started TTing), I had to actually stop playing so much so my mayor wouldn't get darker lol. I also tried everything; Umbrellas, hats, etc.. The only thing that's going to get rid of it is time.

Wear a full brim hat, such as the Straw Hat from the island. You have to wear it for a few days, and each day your tan will get a little lighter.

You can time travel backwards and I think that literally gets rid of your tan. Couple days maybe?

Okay I have no idea how TO get tan! My mayor is exactly like me! Cannot tan whatsoever, no matter how long I stay in the sun!

Aleigh I got a tan by playing for more than an hour a day for like 5-6 days straight lol. I am also trying to get rid of it!

Use the Lemon pack and a straw hat for a couple of days and it will dissapear. Might take a week tho.

Well what I do is I only play when its raining out. That tends to stop the tan from getting worse since there's no sun out

I only ever used to get tanned on the island. Even playing outside all through the summer my character hardly has any tan
Anyway, if I don't want a tan I'll usually take an umbrella out with me or wear a cap of some sort. It tends to fade on its own within a few days, depending on how tanned you were to begin with it could take a little longer

To everyone wanting to tan, go to the island to catch bugs during the day and you'll tan :3 Sunny island tours also help you to tan!

To everyone wanting to get rid of a tan, use an umbrella when you're not using your other tools and wear a big hat for when you're holding something besides your umbrella. Basically you want to stay covered at all times before 5 pm (which is when you stop being able to tan in your town).

Go to the island during 12-3pm every day. Wear a tank, shorts, flip flops, and NO accessories/headgear. All you gotta do is leave your game open and on for like 15-30 mins. You'll accumulate a tan fairly quickly. First couple days will be hard to notice. After 3-4 days you'll start to see the difference.

floppy hat/straw hat from the island are best! it's annoying though because if you don't have gracie's shop or can't catch the hat on the island, you have to keep switching your umbrella in and out... good luck lol
