Tips on flower breeding?

Could anyone give me tips on hybrid breeding? Or a faster or easier way to breed? ;-; I want more hybrids but I don't want to spend too much bells Dx Ty!

Honestly it's pretty simple when you get the paired hybrids that you want to breed. I use the beach to breed my hybrids so I know where they will appear daily and so my villagers don't mess with them!! Plant the hybrid pairs/ multiple flowers in a cheekerboard pattern like so...

I'm guessing you know the basics Fertilizer and Beautiful town ordinance will help speed the process up! I don't TT and I get at least one new hybrid each day. Good luck!!

1. Use the beaches.
2. Use a checkerboard pattern.
3. Water everyday.
4. Use fertilizer.

That's all I can think of, really.

Ohh and only water the flowers you want to breed! This will increase the chance of new hybrids by alot.

What I do-

- Put 2x2 square of a hybrid
- Water it everyday, and fertilize
- When new hybrids grow, leave those
- When you have a huge patch, remove all but 4
- Repeat.

Use gold shovel on the fertilizers.

For blue roses look for Forbidden Blue Rose youtube video. It takes awhile but worth it. While trying to get the blue rose you'll get more orange,purple,pink and black roses.

Finding the right place in town helps. If you notice hybrid growing there alot use that spot for other hard to get ones.
Too many flowers remove the overflow. Sell them,mail them to your villagers or store them.
Fertilzer and the golden water can helps. Just water the ones that your trying to get hybrids from. Set your town to beautiful so all the other flowers don't die. It take time but it's worth it when you find it on your own.

Just like what everyone else says...
- Water hybrids that you specifically want to breed. Increases higher chance of them growing
- Fertilizer
- Arrange hybrids in a checker-board design
- (Not too sure if this effects it but...) Put the Beautiful Town Ordinance up
- TT'ing is fast, but it's up to you if you want to do it ^^

Oh I have a small question after reading all this (since is related too so I just ask here please don't mind xD) I don't breed my hybrids at the beach cause I have lots of coconut, banana trees, should I just had them all remove and plant my hybrid there? Will it get better chance?

same chance as if you were planting them on regular ground

but it's up to you if you want to cut the trees or not

also it would be good to plant on beaches too because not much villagers will water/plant flowers near your hybreeding flowers ~

I've actually never thought about hybreeding on the beach before for some reason

this makes me glad i havent bothered planting any trees on the longer part of my beach

what's the best initial pattern for hybreeding flowers that require to different colors?

like for example, if I was to hybreed pink roses would

X=red rose
V=white rose
O=empty space

be a good pattern, or is there a better one I'm not thinking of?

It started breeding flowers on the beach after bug season. So I just chopped all but 2 trees. After awhile the villagers will come down to the beach. Sometimes they'll plant 10 or more a night. You just have to keep an eye on them and don't spend too much time down there.

I planted my red and white like this. X Red V white and O empty. So all the same type are diagonal. You can make it as big or a small as your like.

Sometimes when I'm too lazy to get a certain flower, I buy one off of someone and just breed the bought one with a white flower, lol.
You could also plant flowers around PWPs because villagers can't place a house there.

I actually use a different pattern

RYR
YXY
RYR

R=red rose
Y= yellow rose
X= empty space

I did the same thing to breed my pink and orange lilies and pink tulips. I only water my three groups(tulips, roses, lillies) and I've been getting at least one hybrid every day unless I forget to water them.
