Tips for removing glasses/sunglasses?

I have a few residents that I would love to remove their glasses. Fauna wears these hideous glasses that float oddly on her. I have tried giving her new glasses but she keep wearing these.. bad ones XD. Talking to Isabelle I know won't work for this.

Any tips for removing these items?
