Tips for landscaping and perfect town?

So, uh, I'm on my 5th town on ACNL, and none of them was perfect. ;^; I'm starting to use pathways and hybrid flowers. I time travel too, but only when I have to! Any tips please?

Well, I think planning where you would like to put your paths is always a good start. And it can be good to be a bit creative with it, not just the obvious route. Think about how you might make a little detour around a future PWP or another kind of feature.

I placed out a lot of pwp's and then made sure my whole town was filled with flowers and a good amount of trees too in the town I got into perfect town status
