Tiny library materials

So I just unlocked the tiny library recipe and one of the materials are books. To get the books do I just have to keep on shaking trees or like shoot down balloons to find them?? Is there a more efficient way to get them??

Aside from those ways, they can also be bought at Nook's Cranny and the shopping terminal.

Books will sometimes be available through Nook Shopping in Resident Services. Magazines too. Check out the available items each day.
