time warping question! please help

so my town right now is in November of 2015, when December hits and it's the 31st, if i make my date January 1st, of 2015 again, will it count as a whole year time warped and will i possibly lose a villager?

i don't want my town to be THAT far off, ( it being 2016 and all ) but i don't want to risk losing one of my 9/10 loved villagers.

does anyone know if i do this, will it be a HUGE risk to my town?

If it's backwards, it only counts as one day.

but if the jump from December of 2015, back to January of 2015 count as a whole year? or just "one day"

^^^ yup. You could even go back to current date right now and it would be as if you only time travelled one day ahead.

Just one day. I've done it tons of times before and its the same everyday. As long as going backwards in time it works.

Should you be time travelling back in time there are literally no problems you could encounter however, should you go forward in time by a year or neglect your game for a year it is more than likely a villager or two may go missing
