Hey! I have a time travelling question: Does time travelling within the one day (not time travelling to the next day) be the same as skipping to the next day? Or nah doesn't change anything?

Thanks!

Eg. Villagers won't ping to move?

No.

If you time travel between 6am (the technical start of the new day) and 11:59pm (a minute before the end of the in-game day) within the same day you'll be fine.

Technically, the game's new/refreshed day doesn't start until 6am and it ends 5:59am of the next day, but in order to time travel safely within a day (i.e. not wanting to skip a day ahead), you can only time travel within 6am and 11:59pm.

I hope I didn't confuse you, (I hoped to be more clear in the second paragraph).

Good luck!

If its lets say 1am on the 1/1/16 and you TT after 6am on the same day 1/1/16 then its a new day (since new days start at 6am everyday) everything in mainstreet would change etc but if lets say its 10am 1/1/16 and you skip to 5pm 1/1/16 it doesnt effect everything (sure your post comes) but everything in mainstreet is the same

well, i think even time-travelling within a day can effect a few things. don't your turnips still spoil??

also, i think villager errand/favor requests get erased when you time travel, even within the same day, don't they?

and does midnight factor in at all? i thought it was a straight 6 am to 6am window in the game as to what counts as a new "day" for changes to the village/villagers...

Yes and no if u time travel within the same day it will not count as a day however it can allow shops to open and stuff

You are correct in that midnight does not play a factor for the game. The difference is that midnight does play a factor for players. it is very easy to accidently mess up TT (especially if you are new to it, tired, etc) if you let the day progress one day. By TT within the 6:00 AM - 11:59 example given, you only have to worry about updating time, and not both date and time. At least as how I understand it.

Turnips spoil if you TT backward at all, but I'm not sure about TTing forward. I don't think it effects villager requests except maybe if a set a time to visit a villager or have one visit your house. Midnight is almost irrelevant in ACNL. The only thing I know that changes at midnight is the island tour list. The only other consequence of same day TTing that I know of is that Fishing / Bug Tourney records are reset, but you can actually use that to your advantage to get half of the fish or bug set in one day easier.

What if the date is 4/20/16 and I TT in the same day to 4am and then to 9am? Would that make villagers ping to move and count as a day?

Yes. Crossing 6 A.M. counts as changing the day. So it would actually count as changing the day twice: once for TTing back past 6 A.M. and once for TTing forward past 6 A.M.

yup like Red Cat says-- it would be like you skipped two days forward in terms of measuring villager moveout timetables and moving determinations...

Was it you that knows who your mover is but he won't ping? In that case I would talk to him then TT forward two hours and walk in front of him for about 10 seconds without having talked to anyone else. If that doesn't work skip 2 more hours forward and repeat. (As long as you don't go past 6am.) Also, your mover won't ping if he happens to have fleas. ;)
