Throwing beans

Just a heads up, as it is kind of hidden. You can get the throwing beans previously only available from Japanese games around the time of the holiday involving Ogre masks and a big sushi roll, I think. You just have to talk to Harv during the day when he is feeding the birds. It took me a few tries, but you just have to keep selecting the 'Heya Harv' option.

I've gotten them plenty of times.

I've read you have to talk to him 14 times, but it may be less, select the "Heya Harv" option each time, WHILE he's feeding the birds.

He feeds them at random times.
I've seen him feed them at 2.00 AM! ^_^

I've usually had to talk to him multiple times - never counted but just keep going & eventually he gives them.
You can get multiple packs - I originally thought I couldn't get a box while I had one showing in my inventory - but you can - he's given me a 2nd box while one still showing. If hes throwing - then I get a few, with alts as well, if I'm playing them.

I've never been given them past - I think 8pm? - maybe earlier - but when the yellow birds disappear he goes back to a book/mug or whatever. Never considered when the yellow birds show up, I've not played the early hours in town.

O, great idea; I didn't think of that! Usually I try to run at the fish but that's not always effective and I trample flowers.

It?s a random RNG on when Harvey gives out the birdseed aka ?the beans?.

Could be the first time, or the second time... or if you are unlucky, over 20 times.

If he?s feeding the birds I always ask. I wonder how many I have right now?!

I just did a test with my alt character.
She had only spoken to Harv twice before, and just now he was feeding the birds, and my alt talked to him about five more times, in a row, and got the beans.

I had previously thought you had to talk to him on several different days while he was feeding them, but you can do it all in one go! ^_^

I got it on my first try on one of my characters. It took me like 20 times on another character LOL
