I know these people are saying that he campaigned through racism and hate and whatever but all I really ehard him say was that he is the best and he is gonna make american great again.

I usually don't believe that someone is bad unless I see a direct source that can 100% prove that they are bad. Like, I've seen a lot of things that Hillary has done bad. I mean if we can't trust her with classified emails then how can we trust her with out country?

Am I being ignorant or something?
 
I wonder if Kanye will think he's a god if he becomes president? There is a song called "I am a god", and that was sung by Kanye.

My question about Kanye running is - does he like fishsticks?
 
i am terrified that he was elected. his election was supposed to be a joke!!! i feel unsafe!!!

on a side note the fact that 11000 people voted for harambe was funny at first but considering that people just threw away their civil right just to joke around in such an important election makes me . incredibly upset

I believe i should not be in these kind of threads as im still very young to understand matters of goverment and such.
I just hope Trump doesn't do crazy stuff like WW3 (which I HOPE he will not do it as its supposed he haves a "team" that helps him to decide in some things). However , he will surely affect in some way my country (Mexico) by deporting Mexican people back to here, what will happen to these Mexican-American families?, what if someone who's mexican is going to United States to have a better life instead of selling drugs and doing crimes like Trump says?. The worse part is even the people who is not going to United States will still get affected not only in Mexico but in whole Latin America in some way. Right now 1 Dollar is 21.50 Mexican Pesos which will increase the prices of other things. I don't know how this will affect the other parts of Latin America (Argentina, Chile , Colombia, etc.) but im sure it will . Who knows if this will affect the whole world since United States is one of the biggest potencies of the world? Either way , i really hope Trump does not go crazy.
If im wrong on something i have said above , please correct me

Don't worry. In times like these, I'm glad that the American Government has Checks and Balances system. Now, I just hope they do their job.
 
For the people saying the citizens wanted Trump: They don't. Check the results. Hillary had more votes but the electors chose Trump for whatever reason. Voting system is pretty messed up imo
 
I woke up and thought I was still dreaming, more like having a nightmare though.

It's true that more people supported Hillary than Trump, but the fact that Trump won shows that we Americans are getting tired of our government. They're tired of the lies and hypocrisies our federal governmemt has given us. A change in governent like electing someome with no experience in government was what we needed. I would rather have Ben Carson if this was the case, but at least we aren't having the same people. This was what Obama was when he ran in 2008. He hasn't even served a full term in the senate before getting elected.
 
I think I've made my points pretty clear on this already, but to recap, I remain disgusted that man will be running the country soon.
 
Honestly pretty disgusted.

I'm not scared of Trump, but of his supporters. The day after election, this guy comes in with a shirt that sported Trump and "Build that Wall!" text all over it and proudly declared that he couldn't wait until he go out and "exterminate the [insert any minority -women.] This one girl said she'd happily beat up this foreign exchange girl who's Muslim (the girl wasn't there that day.) I'm not in a big city, so I can only assume statements like this were more common in larger cities. I was worried all last week about my brother in a big(gish) city, but his husband was at home so I don't think anyone would've known. I worry about my friends who are more open about their sexuality and stuff, as my school was already not accepting of those different than them (one guy had to move because he was very open about being transgendered.)


I'm kinda disappointed in my parents, who voted for Trump and then they got upset when my brother vague posted about them on facebook (though it wasn't only directed at them.) They shouldn't be shocked that he would've felt hurt by this choice, imho. They also act like any post my biological mom, my brother, or I post is directed at them even when they aren't. Heck, I once posted about how compassion and empathy for others was lacking and my mom asked me to explain and then called me a liar.

My friends keep saying how this one guy on my facebook needs to just stop posting about how he wishes Trump didn't win, even though for the past 2 or so years one of them have ranted on why "people like him (talking about Obama,) shouldn't be in the white house." I also feel like I shouldn't talk about my own beliefs because I'll just get attacked for them and I'd rather not lose my only friend at school over something like this. They already got mad because I posted about how people should allow others time to feel upset (not encouraging the protests outright, though I do support 90% of them, but encouraging posts on facebook and things.)

Overall, though, I feel like Trump winning has brought out the worst of both sides and I'm thankful it'll just be me and my parents at Thanksgiving so no arguments break out. I just hope the next four years aren't as bad as many fear and that's really all I can do.
