Thoughts on Power Saved Villagers?

I see a lot of Power Saving blogs on tumblr, what are everyone's thoughts on these? Keeping villagers eternally in boxes, and many adopting them out multiple times.

I don't like duping items, and duping villagers is an even bigger "No no."
