Thoughts on my new town map?

I call this map the Snake Lagoon map because you can see to the river resemble a snake. In the north west corner is the head of the snake and toward the bottom you can see the snake is digesting an animal it caught and the farthest point south where the river connect to the ocean is where its take its dump.

I really like how complex my map is to navigate since everything is so spread out which mean I can play longer without feeling bore. I like having a large river and I like maps that sort of look like puzzle pieces. The villagers placement is not bad but I wish Shari would move her house a little bit more down south. I should have planted a long line of flowers had I known first. I also like having two beaches with a bigger private beach.

I do like how the plaza is close to the train station: I have mine like that as well, and it's very nice imo.
I also like how the Town Hall and ReTail are relatively close to each other: personally I like having all of my buildings condensed in one general area. Like, in my town, ReTail, The Roost, and the campsite are all packed next to each other and the Police Station is by the Town Hall.

Thanks for the reply! My first town had a very small river and everything was well place but that limited my time playing the game cause everything was so easy to get to. Also it had cherries....

I normally have my plaza in one corner, Retail/Roost/campsite in another corner, Town Hall/Police Station in one corner, and most of my villager houses in another corner. I do like to spread the "areas" out, but within the areas, I like to keep them compact.
The rest of the space just goes towards scenery, like my cherry blossom tree forest, PWP's, flower-breeding areas, etc.

Very cool it just impossible to tell just from looking at the map. A lot of my area seem empty too but it fill with trees.
