While I don't use them on my own, I find them pretty creative (both idea and design wise), they sure reminds of the fake food displays in Japan. Kinda wish an restaurant would exist in this game, they would fit perfectly to it (alternative, if The Roost comes back, there would be at least one food/drinking related building).

Cute idea but I wish they'd add more actual foods so we didn't have to use design slots
I don't use them and the one with simple panels with food or anything on it. Sure, it's a smart idea but no, I'm not a fan. I'm pretty satisfied with the stuff I put on my table/stalls (even though the food items are really lacking). I'd wait for Nintendo to actually add more of them in the future, hopefully.

Hopefully it shows Nintendo that the people want food furniture items. Some are really well designed & creative though!

They look fine to me. I'm hoping they do add more food furniture to the game later on, because I wouldn't mind having a kitchen that has food on the tables. I do miss that from New Leaf, but these hats aren't too bad for now.

I think it's lame, really.
No one would have to resort to this if there were just actual food items in the game to begin with. NL had so much food: fish, pastries, donuts, Korean and Japanese cuisine....

I applaud their creativity. In NL you were kind of restricted with how you did certain things and people were very creative with their solutions, but this game really gutted a lot and people have still found ways to be creative like terraforming fake bridges, hat cakes, using the kimono stand for a qr path of a broken bridge ect.
But at the same time people wouldn't and shouldn't have to think this far out of the box to have their town be creative.
If we are given 100 custom design slots, I would've made an outdoor bakery or a restaurant on my island. This is really creative considering the limitations of the game. So I admire the people who discovered and thought about doing this in the first place.
I'm not a fan simply because they're fake.
Food items are one of my favorite things, and NL has a massive, customizable amount.
I would rather see these return, rather than going back to 2005 WW, where folks had patterns for just about everything.
We don't need patterned hats when we already have a ton of NL food that could be added.

This is so gorgeous! Plus your character is so cute in that hat! I was wondering, do you happen to have the codes for those cakes and the design on the simple panels? I've been looking for some pretty ones like those to use in my cafe!
As for my opinion on food hats, I love them. I hardly ever wear custom clothing, so I have tons of empty slots just begging for me to download cute food designs. Like others have said, the hats are very similar to the plastic food items displayed in Japan, and looking at them always makes me nostalgic for when I lived there...

I think it's a very unique idea and it really doesn't look that bad as I initially thought before. I mean I would appreciate if they brought back the food items or even add new ones. I would love to display these designs as food but when you have all these slots filled up with other designs suck!
