50 new cards oh boy RIP my bank account....

I probably won't take advantage of the new villagers in my main town, since after 3 years I finally feel like I'm 100% satisfied with my current 10 (and even if they increased the limit, I have 0 space for more houses lol). But maybe I'll revive my barely-touched third town for this? Pretty excited either way, can't wait to hear more soon!

So, are the 50 new villagers not regular villagers? I don't exactly get the mobile home thing. Do mobile home villagers live in the camping area permanently? Or do we not have the info on this yet?

Sorry, I just find it very confusing.

Also yes I really hope we get an increased villager cap, I have so many dreamies and this is just gonna make it worse for me.

It is unknown if these villagers come standard in the game as random move-in/starters, but I imagine how the amiibo cards work is that you scan 1 of the new 50 and it will arrive at the new RV park where you can talk to them and ask them to move in. I think the way you obtain others with Wisp is only for series 1 through 4 villagers, but who knows. I just have a feeling that's how'll it'll work.

And oh boy time to actually buy the amiibo reader (and some cards) that I've been putting off for a while for this update!
Also hopefully they bring back all the old villagers if not most and those new HHD items cause some really look good and I really want them in my homes!!

i think camping is for the new villagers and other villagers just appear in your town i think? idk its based off what i saw in pictures

Okay. Here is some clarification based on what's been said and seen. You can scan any Series 1 through 4 Amiibo card while talking to Wisp and he is transform into them. So far we've seen him do this with Mint and Blathers. It is unknown what the special characters do when scanned, but we do know Mint was able to move in after scanning her card when prompted to by Wisp.

The 50 new cards being released are to be use in conjunction with the new RV park area rumored to be a part of Main Street. When you scan one of the new 50 cards, and RV shows up driven by the new villager and you then have the ability to ask them to move in and/or you can also order their furniture. It looks like there is some sort of ticket currency involved. It is currently unknown whether this is strictly an amiibo feature, and it is also unknown if you can scan Series 1-4 cards to get selected villagers at the RV Park, although the Wisp method would be pointless if you could. We know the special characters can also show up in the RV park as the box art for ACNL: Welcome Amiibo shows Gulliver driving an RV. We know there is more to the RV Park, but we won't find out more until the Animal Crossing Direct happens later this fall.

Oh my! We'll probably have to buy furniture out of the back of a van just like those shady "pro audio speaker" sellers IRL who sell out of the back of white vans in the US. Buyer beware!

I wonder if any of the RV animals will be uchi. Uchi personality selling "slightly used" items? lol

There is a screenshot on the official animal crossing new leaf website in one of the new sections which shows the player inside Hopkins RV, but you aren't in a conversation with him. On the bottom screen, it gives a brief description of said villager and a button that says "order furniture" with what looks like tickets or vouchers next to the button. It seems as though you don't even have to talk to them to obtain their furniture.

I hope it's a PWP project and if, like others have said, the dog is a relative of Isabelle upon opening the game, in the load up, Isabelle introduces him to you and is then on the PWP list. I just think it's better to be a PWP instead of opening the game to randomly finding an RV park.

I have mixed felling some about it. I'm really glad that old villagers
(some e+ exclusives) are returning, but not to happy that I'm spending money like crazy on Amiibo cards again. >.> The one villager I really am hoping for the most to have a card is Monpe, after I found about her on the Animal Crossing wiki, and I really wished for her to be in the next Animal Crossing game.

Then HHD data showed she (and a few others) where programmed in but she never got DLC.
Makes me wonder if Nintendo was working the update for awhile.
I can't wait to see who else is returning and maybe some new animals (a smug cat would be awesome! ) Also very glad I have'nt made my all squirrel town yet because if you can invite the new villagers to move in I absolutely have to have Monpe (and Kit too if he's in the update!)
The mobile home thing is interesting I hope the Animal Crossing direct explains about, and if our human characters get one as well (Mabye if Animal Crossing NX happens it can transfer over data to AC NX.)

One last thing I not to happy North America is getting the cards almost a month after Japan and Europe (typical Nintendo of America ) meh at lest Pok?mon Sun and Moon will keep me preoccupied till the big shiny new update!

There is a good chance that Monpe will be in since Vivian (Vanessa) is in now too and she was found in the HHD mined data. I'd bank on all of the data mined villagers coming back, as well as Carrie, Claude, Maddie, Filly, Felyne and Louie who all had prescence in HHD.
