Thoroughly enjoyed the Halloween event! ❤️

I found Halloween to be really really charming in this game! The spooky sky did wonders for setting the right atmosphere.

I'm very happy with Halloween in this game! I think it's much improved over New Leaf, which I just did a week ago and found tedious! Hopefully Harvest Festival and Toy Day are handled this well too!

Something I had always wanted in AC was for villagers to dress up differently and not just mimic (or simply copy) Jack’s outfit (as is the case in previous entries). So I really loved seeing them all dressed up Also, I love how you “trick” them by dressing up as Jack. I forget: were you able to dress up as Jack in previous AC’s?

I loved the spooky furniture and enjoyed myself decorating my island for this day I had a friend come over and we had a small Halloween get together and took some pics. I also enjoyed the costumes and other cute details (like other NPC’s dressing up).

And as you said, even the atmosphere was great! It was a very pleasant surprise to see the sky turn that way (I kinda just figured my island was getting cloudy weather, until it got kinda foggy and purple).

Halloween today was really fun imo! My fave parts were definitely running around and seeing what all my villagers dressed up as/scaring them and doing reactions with them. Getting the spooky carriage was also a MUST as well. I agree about NL, this felt a lot more streamlined. Still had the fun but without as much of the tedious repetition to collect every item. Plus, as I already mentioned, I love that all of the villagers wear different costumes besides Jack's default robe and face.

I had a good time with it. It was great to see everyone’s costumes, and I enjoyed pulling together my own costume. I also appreciated that the core part of the event (getting all of the items) didn’t take long, and wasn’t as luck-based as some events from prior titles.

I haven’t done too much Halloween decorating, and I’m not sure I’m going to be in the mood to do so tomorrow. But I’m looking forward to decorating with a bunch of my new Halloween additions next fall. I did stick one of the new carriages outside for now, though, and it looks great!

Whoa! I love that pumpkin room! Seriously, nice arrangement of the posters and pictures, & the furniture. I'm glad you enjoyed Halloween. I had fun today too even though I experienced it on a friend's island . I think Raymond and Roscoe had the best costumes on my island, though Punchy and Rudy were so cute in their round ear and matching costumes ☺. I think Sherb though needs some help with his costume. He was wearing green round ear hat with the white mage's outfit. I certainly had fun pitfalling my friend and chasing him around with an axe (even though mom told me not to run around with sharp objects). I got him three times and all in the same spot .

It was a really enjoyable and adorable event. Seeing the villagers make their scary faces in their costumes was the best. I was excited to see what everyone would be dressed as. I just wish that Isabelle had been involved more

It was a short event for me considering that I got most of the spooky recipes earlier this month. However, I like the ambience and the way villagers interact with you!

I also find it annoying that all of them are candy monsters last night! They kept asking me for candy. (I already ran out. Please leave me alone! )

I loved running around in my costume as Halloween was always my favourite AC event, and still is after last night! I did find it slightly disappointing that I had done the bulk of the 'work' as I'd already collected all possible DIYs before the main event. I'm not a massive fan of crafting, so on balance I think I prefer NL Halloween, though I did enjoy this one.

When I was out of candy, Ava just commented that she was surprised that I didn’t have any. She didn’t prank me. I was surprised.

The game requires you to have a candy in the inventory before they will prank you. (Obviously, you will have to refuse as part of the condition.)

I really enjoyed halloween as I felt it didn't get dragged out too much and it didn't take me too long to complete (as I had other irl halloween plans) your spooky dungeon has definitely inspired me as I was considering turning my basement into something similar!!

I really enjoyed the event over all. I loved how they used the same music as the did in the gamecube game. It was really nostalgic. I wish the villagers would have had more costume variety. Most of them dressed up with imp horns and magic academy outfits. I'd give the best costume prize to Raymond who was dressed as a vampire. The worst costume prize has to go to Felicity for dressing as a cat. She's already a cat! I had a supply of 31 pieces of candy because I didn't want to be tricked, but the tricks were not as bad as they were in the gamecube game.
If you wanted survive Halloween without candy, you had to drop all of your inventory and put on a pair of clothes you don't like. My friend had his Airwing he won in the raffle with him, and a villager turned it into a jack in the box. He was so upset. Halloween in New Horizons was great, and the villagers were a lot nicer.

Same here! I loved that the Halloween exclusive DIY/furniture pieces like the Carriage weren't super hard to get but also weren't straight up handed to you. My original costume failed in the scary department, but thankfully Jack's items fixed that right up for me. I liked seeing all of the costumes and watching the villagers scare each other with the new emotes, too. Very fun event!

I had a lot of fun, I liked that we didn't have to do too much. I also loved seeing all the villagers dressed up, they were all so cute. My favorite costume from the villagers was hamlet who was in a vampire costume.

It was pretty cute. I ended up wanting to save some candy to keep onto, but I was low. Made a dash to Freya and Reneigh's to get a couple pieces and ran into Colton, Sly, and Wolfgang all on the way. They knew my plan! Poor Filbert was still moving in, so he didn't get to partake. But I visited him and hung out with him for a bit.
