Beau moved and I went island hopping today for a new villager. Guess who I found on the island? Beau! And not once but twice! Seriously? There really should be something that prevents the mystery islands from spawning the villager who just moved. Also it should prevent duplicate spawns(I also so creepy zucker twice ewww). There are so many villagers in the game this really shouldn't be an issue.

I actually like this because I've had a villager move out and I wanted him back. I've never encountered him again, but I'm glad we don't have to cycle out villagers just to get the ones we previously had.
completely relate! when i was hunting for my last villager, tybalt, i saw boone not once. not twice. but THREE TIMES. the gorillas are one of my least favorite animals in the game. needless to say i was,,

I can see both sides of the story. Like, if somebody moved out and I regretted it I would find this to be a lifesaver. But, if I get the same random villager twice it doesn't quite make since, bc it shows you didn't want them the first time.
Ultimately, I'm fine with the feature although it can be annoying depending on the situation.

I moved fauna out a while back. When I went hunting the day after, I saw her on an island. She said that she flew over Arctin once and thought it looked pretty. Pretty sure you did more than fly by once
I like Beau but I had 3 lazies so someone had to move, plus i need a snooty and sisterly to get the reactions i'm missing. I gave him to someone on here who said he was one of her dreamies so he got a good home. i didnt want him to go into the void.

I've had this happen to me, but I'm glad we dont have to cycle out villagers to get one back. I found Fauna the day after she moved out and Pecan the day after she moved out. It would have been nice if I wanted Fauna back because I would have been able to get her back with her actual house instead of her starter home. I don't really mind running into them again.

I read somewhere that octopuses are easy to find.
Based on my experience of doing 184 consecutive island hopping, I encountered all three of them.
I like that there's no cycle and that it's possible to find the villager that moved out. For those that want to keep their starters but hate the state of their houses and have no access to online, they can move them back in with their original interior that way. It might get annoying at times, but that's RNG for you.
Remember that islands roll for species first, so it really depends on how many villagers are in that species. That's why Raymond is so difficult to come by, as there's so many cats. As for Beau, it's a 1/10 chance of getting the same deer.

zxnsksnns but yeah, i feel this, especially the duplicate part - you’d think with how many villagers are in the game, duplicate villagers would be a lil less common aha

I was freaked out when after Octavian moved out, I found him FOUR times within 20 tickets lol
