This could really help with villager cycling,are you listening Nintendo?

This idea just came to me today but I think it's a good one. We all have villagers we want to keep and ones we want to go. But it's always the ones you want to stay who ask to leave right? So we need a permanent resident feature. You click on the villagers doorplate for example and you get a pop up with a box to check that says permanent resident. If you click the box the villager will no longer get the I wanna leave bubble(this box can be unchecked at any time). This would make cycling quicker and easier cause only the villagers you want to leave would ask to leave. So do yall think is a good idea or not?

EDIT- if they don't wanna just include it they could make us earn it. like we have to get a villager to max friendship and then they'll say something like " i love it here i never wanna leave" and then we get the option for that villager.

It's definitely a good idea for cycling, but I doubt they'll ever implement it since it goes against the entire design philosophy of animal crossing, with villagers having their own personalities/decisions.

Would make it a lot more convenient for sure! I'd enjoy that, although I'm also grateful that the current system is an upgrade from previous games where you ultimately didn't have much of a choice whether villagers stayed or left. Like even in NL there was always that chance they could disagree with you and move out/stay against your will anyway.

Of course this isn't something I'd expect Nintendo to implement at all because of the natural aspect of your old-time villagers wanting to see new shores eventually. It is a little heart-jearking when I decline those requests sometimes because I feel like I'm denying them what they truly want. Yeah it's just dialogue at the end of the day but it feels kinda manipulative lol

I thought of something similar. Not the doorplate feature, but back in New Leaf I wished they had allowed it to only be possible to let villagers go if you spoke to Isabelle and she allowed them to leave whenever.

this! it would be so convenient! I have some villagers I want to keep, but it would be fun to cycle some of them, so an option to decide who gets to be in the cycle would be neat! would also help a lot, since I don't time travel, to help get out the ones I want to give away faster
