I'm pondering if I should get a third (digital)copy of the game.
But I have to pay the full price for it. It doesn't seem that worth it.

The purpose of this third copy is to reset towns, constantly and hopefully get the villagers I want for my other town and maybe make that one my cycle town afterwards. Resetting the campsite over and over takes too much time and gives bearly any results.

What do you guys think?

Today I bought my second copy for full price thinking I would regret it. A few hours later it arrived and it was the best decision I've made! I say go for it!

The thing is, I thought my second town was going to be a cycle town, but then too many villagers moved in, I didn't want to lose.
I could reset my second town, but then I would lose my villagers and my storage from my other town.

Getting a third copy, would give a me higher change of getting my dreamies. Money is not a issue, but is it worth it?
What I fear is I'm not going to use it, after I got the villagers that I want.

You can always sell it if it's a cartridge if you don't end up using it.

I don't think it's worth it unless you really want to have another town and plan on playing it. You can get villagers you want for your other towns by trading with other people. It can take some time and patience but it's not that bad.

The problem with trading with other people, is the villagers humming their old town tune.
I don't know about you, but I don't like it when they do that. First time is fine, but after a while it gets annoying.

I don't like that, either, which is why I always say I won't accept someone else's villagers...even if they were offering me a dreamie for free. I refuse to Streetpass when I have less than 10 villagers because I don't want to pick up a stray. However, it doesn't bother me if a villager moves from one of my towns to the other. Hearing "their old town tune" isn't so bad when it's actually my tune! LOL

I find it's great to have a spare for overflow or emergency move-outs. I have five towns.

Hmmm I know what you mean about villagers referring to their old towns, but honestly mine hardly ever do that anymore. In fact, I had every one of my current villagers from another town and 3 of them never even mentioned where they used to live. So it's not always such a big problem.
I'd say go for it, simply because I love the idea of having so many AC villages!! I'd do it myself if I could, only just ordered my second copy though so won't be for a while yet!

Go for it. I have 2 digital copies that were bought in July/September 2013. They still working and have no problems.
It's nice to not have to take the cartridges most of the time. I only move the cartridge when the digital or the cartridge town has perfect fruit at premium. For other things I move the items to other 3DS and than just pick them up. It helps with the travel/host badge for all copies.

This honestly doesn't bother me but maybe you can trade only with people who have town tunes that you like. I think if a villager moves to another town and then to yours, they'll only hum the last town's tune so you could have a friend hold them or use your second town to move them into your main one.

If you really hate it, I guess you could get another game... it's your money.

Most of my villagers don't do that either. They do it a lot for a while but let it go after being in my town for some time. I have only one villager who keeps doing this after being in my town for over a year.
