Think they'll let us use our Amiibo cards?

That's a good one, I think there is a pretty good chance they won't let us however. I feel like amiibo as a concept is pretty dead nowadays. The Smash ones are obviously being released to satisfy the people who want the complete roster as figures. They did announce a Link's Awakening amiibo which surprised me but it's a thing now I guess.

We'll just have to wait and see

I think it's still a cool thing to have. At least the real amiibo figures, for some bonuses like the RVs.
As for the amiibo cards I don't really know. They probably won't let us use the series 5 as it's very rare and I don't know about the 4 others, I'd like to as I have some cards but I don't think they will.

I don't see why not, especially as the Amiibo Cards didn't seem very difficult to produce. I'm sure they were a pretty good secondary income source for Nintendo.

(If they do, they will 100% reprint them though.)

Pretty sure you will be able to use them at one point, after all, people spent lots of money into these
cards, having no option to use them at all in the new game would be really stupid.

It's still a little unclear how exactly villagers will work in the new game, but I think we could very well be able to invite villagers via amiibo cards. If the player character is in charge of building the plots for new houses for example it would make sense to be able to allocate the spot to a certain villager through amiibo card or leave it for anyone to move into.

I really hope so! At the same time, I hope it's not too easy. I think it would be cool if we could invite someone to the island using amiibo, but they'd only settle in there with a proper house if we do enough errands or something for them

I hope so. It’s not a huge deal for me since I don’t really collect the cards (although I do have the WA set). But fans have invested quite a bit of money into collecting them. I wouldn’t even be surprised if there are reprints along with the release.

If they ever reconsider doing this, they’re going to have to restock their cards with an entirely new look so that newcomers will be familiar with the fact that the cards can be compatible with the new game instead of a game they may not have.

Not to mention if they’re releasing new and returning villagers in New Horizons, it’s a necessity to release new card packs too.

I kind of hope they do, mainly because I want the Sanrio items again, they were so cute. I wanted to collect more cards but I never really got the chance to. Maybe if they reissue them I'll collect.

I really hope so, Mario odyssey and Botw have amiibo functionality, so it’s possible.

This makes me wonder about one npc that has a card....how will she even be utilized since her previous job was giving you a Dream Address

Even if we can, i'm not making that mistake anymore. Considering Nintendo love to attach to old systems, they could stay with the ?hard moving out?.

I mean, i could be wrong, but still... Not taking that risk here.

I think they will! Some of us still have our cards and Nintendo has the golden opportunity to reprint them if more and more people would buy the game.

I sincerely hope so. I have Every AC amiibo figure and I'm only missing like 10 cards. I would love to use them all.
