I thought of this weird idea while visiting some dream towns. I heard that a lot of unfortunate things happen when you trip and I wanted to compile them all together in one complete list, just so people can be careful when they're having a bad luck day. If you'd like to include a story or poem, go ahead!

#1 - You'll spill all your to-go coffee everywhere
#2 - You'll destroy any flowers that you happened to land on
#3 - Any balloons you're holding will float away! (squidpops)
#4 - On the beach, you'll leave a smiling face in the sand (Ably.Saucey)

What causes the character to trip in the first place? This is still a mystery to me

Any balloons you're holding in hand will float away! Thats'w why I never run when holding a balloon, too risky.

It has to do with your luck of the day. If you have bad luck that day, tripping is one of the things that happens.

There is luck on Animal Crossing??!! :O

Yeah it has to do with your luck and Feng Shui I think? I think how you place stuff in your house also affects it. Which is annoying that you have to place furniture the way the game wants it (in your house) in order to have good or bad luck. I usually ignore it though, because I want to design my house the way I want it. So I just take the bad luck.

Well, can't speak for the effect on handheld tools, but I will say this much. The worst thing that happens when you trip?

Getting a faceful of grass, mud, snow, or possibly even sand - depending, of course, on season and location. Seriously, I've noticed that in the falling animation, your character makes no attempt to catch themselves with their arms. If this game weren't so cheerful and positive, I'd half-expect a broken nose!

Looking forward to constructing Katrina's shop - I've already had half a dozen days of tripping and falling, and I've only been playing since December first!

Yeah when you fall, you can see the impact/skidmark where it happened. It's kind of funny actually. I didn't know that coffee spilled or balloons floated away. That's kind of awesome actually.

I you manage to trip on the beach you can leave a smiley face in the sand. Which would be more adorable if it wasn't so annoying.

I have a house in a town where I completely arranged all furniture to maximize feng ship and luck. No more PWP requests than the usual but I do feel like everyone is a bit friendlier to me. I have recently moved in villagers so I have a ways to go with BFFs and photos.

I made this house also for StreetPass - in case I run into someone and they want orderable feng shui items :)

I didn't know any of these! but the balloon one I knew. If it's raining when you trip don't you have a little splash effect? I'm not 100% certain.
