Things in NH that make you go 'Hmm...'

At this point, I think our characters aren't human. We just aren't. We heave sharks out of the ocean, fruits empower us, no tool is safe in our nubby hands.

Our only weakness is tarantulas, scorpions and wasps.

We're the ultimate wolf in sheep's clothing.
It's all making sense now. 😱

Lack of bulk crafting, and the extensive dialogue tree when you want to fly somewhere.
Tedious things like that.

Where do I even start?

The methods of online multiplayer are so outdated, I'm beginning to think Nintendo believes that cumbersome menus are a staple feature of Animal Crossing. Why does it have to work almost exactly the same as how it did in their DS game from 2006? Why can't dropping in and out of online be seamless?
Why can't typing with a keyboard work like how it did in City Folk, where any input from a USB keyboard would bring up a seamless text box.
Why not allow for a microphone add-on, also like in City Folk?
Why can't you access your storage on someone else island? Why can't you access your storage somewhere ELSE on your island, yet you can access your wardrobe outside?
Speaking of that, why do your clothes have to take up storage space? Why couldn't they have made a closet storage that in linked to wardrobes instead?
Why do your tools and materials have to take up inventory space?
WHY DO GOLD TOOLS BREAK?

A golden tool breaking, hm?

Changing clothes with a fridge, hm?

Can't access ABD on another island, hm?

21 questions with Orville, hm?

You can't put things in the plaza, hm?

The fact that you can't store turnips in your inventory so you either have to bury them in a hole somewhere or have them sitting on the floor cluttering up your rooms in your house/your garden till your ready to sell them. Just WHY??

Curt’s one of my favorite villagers, but his new home aesthetic is... bizarre.
In older games Curt has a pretty standard, nice looking house. In NL his home has a traditional Japanese style, which was just lovely.

In New Horizons his chosen style is ā€œhomeless personā€, apparently. The walls and flooring look like a prison yard, he’s got a nasty old barrel filled with boiling water, a campfire (definitely a safety issue) and chairs made of cardboard boxes. Definitely an odd change for this classic character imo.

Why remove the ATM and storage locker (being able to access in other towns) from New Leaf? What was the point? Yes, lets making trading even more tedious than it already was!

Villagers will plop down on the ground right next to a chair. I guess feathers and fur don't show grass stains.

My villagers never want to move out, and campsiters don't come very often, 10 villager max

Crafting one at a time, tool durability not shown, all the NPCs have wayyyy too long dialogues are my mechanics complaints.

Why can’t DIYs be stored?

This is both a complaint and a head scratcher btw.
I just don’t get it. It’s annoying and makes absolutely no sense—to the point I feel it was more of an oversight than an intentional decision.

To make matters worse, if you store them outside it counts against your score, thus forcing you to either toss them or store them indoors (where—another complaint I guess—we now have much less space to place things!)

You can't refuse your first camper. I did not want Huck in my town. I'm glad he finally moved out.
You can move houses but not inclines or bridges.
When you tear down a bridge or incline, you don't get any of your bells back. :(
The fee for moving houses is exorbitant for those who earn bells honestly.
Villagers can sit down on the ground, but I can't? Sometimes I just want to chill by the river with Moe. :)
