Things I just don't understand

Why do people have problems with how others play their game? That's something I don't understand.
So agree! Why bother about people who time travel/reset/ do or don't have dreamies? Everyone paid for his/her game so let people enjoy the game like they want to

Who knew there were so many obsessive folks out there who also have attention deficit. I clearly said in my original post that I don't understand it. Period.

I wouldn't tell anyone else how to play, but I get so sick of seeing all the same posts over and over - "I don't like my square grass, should I reset?" and "I'll pay 10 million bells for Marshall!" Seriously?

It makes me sad that there are people in the world who let their compulsive behaviors ruin the fun of a simple little game like animal crossing and I wonder what these people are like in their real lives where there isn't a reset button!

Just because people like to play AC a certain way, doesn't make them "obsessive" or have an "attention deficit" in real life. I do like to collect dreamies and have a nice town, but I function perfectly in real life too, thank you very much. No need to feel sad for me.

People can play how they want , It's not your game. You shouldnt be worried how other's play , I have a town full of my dreamies and I have never gotten bored.

Everyone want's there own style , They'll reset if something doesn't look right, don't have the right map etc. You have to deal with it because that's what the AC community do.

People CARE about where their villager's are placed , People WILL reset as many times as they please , I spent 45 resets for Katt.

Amen to this!

People buy a game with their own money, and they can play it however they want.

Just because you think it's crazy to find a decent map to settle in doesn't mean other's will agree with you.

In fact, I think most people on The Bell Tree Forums will disagree with you, thinking that it's a "crazy" to achieve dream villagers, get the perfect map of their own choice and their villager house placement.

Your "fun" may NOT be someone else's fun.
It's down to personal opinion and you cannot change that.

It's not wrong to enjoy the game your way, but saying that it's obsessive to someone who enjoys the game their own way is ridiculous.
Deal with it. People play their own way.

Sorry if I sound a little snappy, but this is my opinion.

Here's the thing, though. To some people, resetting really is fun. When I started Eterna, I actually really enjoyed rolling for my sixth, seventh, and eighth villagers -- even though talking to Rover over and over was a pain in the butt, the feeling of satisfaction I got when I finally got the villager I had been trying so hard to get was immense. Just because you don't play something in a certain way doesn't mean that others can't -- and there is no need to be so rude about it. Making judgmental comments about other people doesn't make your argument look any better.

100% agree. Yes, I have dreamies, but I can agree to this 100%. Why are you all so defensive? Not like he said 'OH IF YOU HAVE DREAMIES AND RESET YOUR PLOTS YOU'RE GOING TO HELL!! YOU'RE RUINING THE FUN FOR EVERYONE" or anything… He simply doesn't understand. I don't quite understand either.

Interesting thread. I have no concerns about how to play. My focus is on improving my own town.

The map, shown in the opening post by tolisamarie, is the one I have. I like the layout. But I didn't study others, for comparison, before making my selection.

I have had "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" since August 2013. I haven't taken down the town. I haven't reset to manipulate getting more of the villagers I desire. I just kept moving along. In fact, my earlier period was desiring to acquire the shopping. Get it all completed. My happiest was in getting Gracie. (Next to that was Brewster.) But I did give thought to where I put Brewster; where I put the police station (with use of Booker). And that's because those two cannot be re-done.

The game is highly creative. And time-consuming. One makes of it what he/she will.

Yeah this! Dreamies aren't really a big deal imo. I liked it better when I did not get into the whole dreamy list thing.

But this is how people play, and that's all it is. Nothing more or less.

Everyone has their own way of playing. I don't think the OP meant to cause such a stir. They weren't saying it was wrong, they were just saying they didn't understand why.
