Things about ACNL that make you shudder

We have some good times in ACNL but in exchange for that good time we would risk losing part of our sanity with several aspects from the game or even the fandom. If you are feeling like it, share your thoughts here and we can just shudder together.

-With every animal villager loved... every animal villager has the inevitability to be... "matured". Especially the wolf villagers. I want to search through pictures of Chief but I don't wanna see some furry stuff. Unless... my boyfriend draws that. Then that's fine.

-The fact that a weird broadcast appears at 3 am i think in the morning as you watch television disturbs me. Is this some kind of easter egg or a punishment to the player for being awake all this time? Either way, it's both, and I'll never watch acnl television at night the same way again.

I really don't like them.

They don't move out of the way and keep dropping flowers.

All I do is pull them out, then more take their place.

It's at the point where I almost can't stand to play it anymore.

The fact that Kappn hits on the female characters... especially considering the history of Kappas it’s quite disturbing ;^;

When villagers seemingly vanish for random periods of time. It both annoys me to no end, and creeps me out slightly.

We're digging up shallow graves whenever it rains. Like what if that's what happened to the other humans? Those animals could just biding their time. Lmao.

Peggy once asked me if I thought she was adorable or something similar. This inspired me to check if she had any cute fan art. I ended up regretting my Google image search. Similarly, I regretted looking for pictures of Isabelle. Basically, be very wary of Google image searches when it comes to Animal Crossing.

It helps to keep your google filter on. I trust that thing with my very soul. Although there are some things that still appear like the 1% bacteria from a soap commercial, at least you won’t see a lot. I guarantee you that google mistakes certain sfw fetishes as “okay” so be careful.

Edit: Oh wait haha I realized that I’m somewhat immune to nsfw art because I ventured into so many fandoms and I’m very used to it now. Its still creepy though.

The tarantulas and scorpions are always quite a scare! Maybe it's just what I'm used to but imagining huge spiders roaming around at night sounds pretty distressing.

It's always suspicious to google characters' names since it's almost guaranteed that something questionable will come up - I've had similar regrets pretty often. I strongly dislike that kind of content and seeing such stuff about Animal Crossing especially makes me shudder.

Much like of what many people have said here: Google searching a certain character. I only like to look up villagers to see their other people's artwork but then you know.... yeah. In fact, I get a bit scared when I search up villagers. Just scroll down a few centimetres and you get horrible stuff. Isabelle's no better as you see some of the disgusting stuff straight away. *shudders*
