That's right, the cicadas are back! Do you love them or hate them? I love them, when I hear them I think of summer (mostly because I spend a lot of time playing AC in the summer).
I like them actually. It makes the town feel more alive somehow. Also, sometimes in the anime I watch, I hear them in the summertime scenes and it makes me sentimental for my town. Then when I play, I remember the anime and get sentimental about that. XD lol I'm nuts.
Also, I MUCH prefer them to the mole cricket. THAT was hell. It's the only sound in the game that drives me batty.
Cicadas are a familiar sound from my childhood, so I don't mind at all.
Besides, when cicada season starts in ACNL, that's five more insects (and the "cicada shell" insect) to add to the encyclopaedia. My secondary town mayor got her bronze bug badge today thanks to the little critters.
Only thing is, I feel bad about scaring off bugs by accident, and it's HARD not to scare away any cicadas when there are 30 spawned in your town at once.
I like the sound of cicadas IRL and they make me nostalgic. But for some reason in New Leaf I dislike them... Though in Animal Crossing on Gamecube, I liked them. It's weird.
They're kind of annoying to me because I keep accidentally scaring them. I tend to ignore them, but I definitely prefer the fireflies and crickets that show up in June and November.
This is my first summer.
I got on today. Listened for one minute.
"Oh boy, this summer is going to get old... fast." *Pulls out axe* "Oh wait a sec..." *Pulls out net* better.
I actually like them, and now I don't haave to say no when a villager asks for a cicada. But soon...
