Much like the HHP DLC trailer, they didn’t show everything there was to it.

There were bits about the DLC that we didn’t see during the reveal like the upstairs room, the cute « after work » scenes with your co-workers, the fact that you could run into Joan, Nat, etc at the facilities.

There does seem to be a progression system with the Hotel. Much like in HHP, I believe that by completing tasks you will unlock more things to do (you’ll notice the Amiibo machine is not there at the beginning of the Hotel scenes).

Similarly, we don’t know where the stairs lead to! Will we able to go directly into the rooms? Maybe there’s a hotel bar with another NPC?

It seems they just lead to the rooms, to me. You can see at the very end of the trailer that you can go into the rooms, and interact with the villagers staying there.

More than likely, yes! I guess I'm just wondering if by going up the stairs we'll go into some sort of hallway with the 8 rooms; if it's 4 rooms per floor (so maybe there are more floors); if by going up we immediately cut to the "8 hotel guests" menu screen we see by the end of the video.

I'd hope for a few more surprises, to be honest like, maybe we'll see some notable NPCs from past games staying at the hotel or at the hotel lobby (kinda like how we can see Nat and Joan at the facilities).

Adding to what I said before: we also don't know what Leila's role is! We know that Kapp'n will take out items you have made/and take you to special islands ; Leilani is in charge of the hotel reception ; Grams is in charge of the gift shop. But Leila seems to be just chilling in the sofa! It might be nothing or it might be a little secret they're keeping for player's progression

Oh I like the idea of a hotel bar it would be even better if it was a rooftop bar where you could see all island from.

I also think maybe the hotel works out kinda like the campsite where islanders that don't live on your island come to stay for a bit. Unlike the campsite that has 1 person staying at the time the hotel would hold more. You would still have to do tasks to let them stay like you would at the campsite.
