Theory in the game

What i think is going on is since isabelle left for smash brothers we decided to take a vacation. We are on a island restoring it. I have a feeling isabelle wont be in the game. But when she comes back we will get a new game where we get the town city or something.

haha this is a good theory and i love the creativity! but yes, its been confirmed that she will be in the game and this game is set on an island. i would be very interested if we could fly to another place (maybe land?) on the new plane? it's interesting to come up with theories.

Already confirmed that she's back, nobody knows however which job she has now, since you're not
the mayor anymore. I will stick with my theory that once your island is more developed, Nook says
that the town/island needs a mayor and recommend then Isabelle, who becomes the mayor. After
all it makes kinda sense to give her a promotion since she made such a good job in New Leaf as
the mayor's assistant.

Alternative, I guess she get's a job where she helps you out when it comes to develop your town/
island more.

Yes. About the Smash Thing...

It?s confirmed years ago (And I mean the very first game during the beginning of the intro cutscene) that it?s toys fighting. But nowadays it seems like it?s not toys, but they still are. It goes to show that Smash has nothing to do with continuity of the their actual series.

As others have said, it's been confirmed that Isabelle is in the game, but you have to unlock her. We don't know who, if anyone, won't appear. Resetti may not be in charge of a Reset Surveillance Center anymore, but I fully expect him to appear in some form, for example.

Okay then change isabelle is running your old town she is the mayor. We needed a brake and when we are “finished” with our vaca the new game will be a town or whatever and we are back to restoring it.

Nintendo has confirmed that she will be in the game. She wont be in the game until later in the gameplay though. Apparently we have to earn her through progress in the game.
