Alright, I've heard of this thing all over, and I've just found you need a tree stump to find one of these elusive buggers. My question to you guys is this: Do you need to find the beetle as you chop the tree DOWN, or can you leave a stump laying in your town, and come back to it later and find the bug? D:

i dunno, i haven't found one either. The guidebook states "stump bug" but, in all seriousness.. the book could have been a LITTLE more clearer then this...

i have it, it's the same with longhorn beetles.

Cut down a tree, then randomly later you will find a bug on the tree stump.

then go to a town where there are tree stumps.
I suggest cuttting down your native fruit trees.
