Today I have a new villager move in, and I'm doing the reset trick to place her where I want, but she keep avoiding that place. There is a dandelion so I was wondering: the dandelions are like rocks, and they can't plot over there?

I don't know about dandelions but they are more likely to plot where another villager has plotted. Also a good trick is to have an extra character build a house and destroy it so theyre more likely to plot there

Well, there was another villager there, but she keep avoiding that place!

Maybe you should try what is called a 'hard reset' and hit the power button to reset instead of the home button. Other than that, all I've got is just keep trying!

Can confirm that this works - I did it for Twiggy and Punchy and it worked wonders.

And if they can plot over your hard-earned hybrids, I'm sure they could plot over your dandelions. ;'[

It's entirely coincidence that they haven't plot there. Some villagers are just really stubborn. I wish dandelions worked to help block villagers from moving somewhere. I'd get myself dozens haha. That would be awesome. Plot resetting gets so annoying.

That happened to me before. Some villagers just like certain spots more. It's weird because I wanted Zell in a certain spot, which had been occupied before so I know it's not a space issue) but he just wouldn't move. Eventually I gave up and let him plot on the spot that he kept going back to. It worked out in the end. I was able to build around him and someone else moved into the spot I want him to go and it fit better species-wise (bunnies bunched in that one area).
