If the letter is the only problem, you can go talk to Isabelle at the town hall, bring up "She/he has a naughty letter" when discussing problematic citizens, and it'll be like the letter never even existed.

Reset center isn't bad! When I reset using my mayor, upon startup when I try to walk away from my house, Resetti pops out and asks me why I reset. I always choose the "I don't know" option and he says something like "Well don't let it happen again!" and leaves. He doesn't lecture like he used to. Reset center is funny if you can ever catch it when it's open. I have before, I'll have to post a pic.

I wanted to skip the Reset Center, but after his thing about being sad it closed, I felt bad for him so I'm probably going to build it once I get everything else out of the way.
