Of course! I'm on this sort of weird mission where, as I'm waiting for my dream villagers, I want to keep switching villagers and see who I can give away. The more people want them, the more fun it is for me.

Seeing all the different people and villagers they want is fun too.
Plus, my town is pretty barren since I don't want to build until all my dreamies come in. So villagers moving to and fro doesn't really bother me.
I have a question on time traveling 2 days forward and 2 days back(I can't remember if I asked this!)
If you're using this trick, say, you're starting on the 26th. You time travel to the 28th, save right away, then time travel back to the 26th. After walking around town, if no one is moving, do you repeat the process and go to the 28th back to the 26th over and over until someone wants to move? Or do you pass the 26th and 28th day altogether because it didn't work, and instead go to the 30th?
I hope that made sense.

Just stick with the two dates. If you know which villager you want to move out, try to figure out what time they are walking around outside and make sure to set your clock to that time. Some go out different times on different days
