What helicopter is as big as the train station and the tracks it's connected with all across the town..?

Helicopters require large open spaces or tops of wide buildings that tower over everything else to land on.

That is the fact and part of my opinion why I wouldn't want a helicopter. Also, you'd expect to use the helicopter each time you visit another player's town and that seems so inconvenient, so it'd be possible the Gate would need to be brought back, and just no. I personally can see a ferry working, but no forms of air travel as of yet.
