I was learning DNA in science, part of DNA stands for Deoxy, which means no Oxygen. Deoxys = DNA Pokemon...
and scones are biscuits in South America..
My sewing teacher has dresses that cost $0.96c :S

These are amazing discoveries.

Anyone else got any?

That maths teachers lie to you when they say you'll use algebra in the real world.

Deoxyribonucleic acid is what DNA stands for. The four genetic pieces are ATCG that make up all genetic strands. Biology class FTW.

I guess the most interesting thing I've picked up in school is space time theory and how to read binary.

You can bet your ass you will if you get any degree in any science.

Edit - Or math, obviously. Or engineering.

My math teacher from 3 years ago said he uses Algebra on his shopping list :S

That Mr krabs must have a Whale In his family or he cheated on his Girlfriend/Wife.

Someone in Science brought that up to the teacher.

Funny moment.

(1) You're assuming that SpongeBob Squarepants should to follow basic biology.

(2) Such an assumption would be foolish given the fact that a crab has produced a whale.

(3) She could totally be adopted.

Adoption under the water!

I say shenanigans!!

(4) She is actually his wife, but she was incapable of having children and her mind melted into a sludge that thinks she's actually her own daughter, after she (her mother) ran away from home.
(brain fried because she couldn't handle not being able to have a child)

WAIT. Are we bringing sense into Spongebob?

And an unintentional thing I learned was playing hooky without getting suspected. I used to give my teachers hell.

Nice theory.

Ockham's razor has problems with that one....

dont know if this qualifies but DNA consists of a nitrogenous base, yet it's name stands for deoxyribonucleic acid

My teacher said that pedobear isn't funny at all.

Shh, don't bring the internet into the real world.

It's already spreading fast into modern popular culture, don't help it.

Stupid kids at my school can't wait five minutes without saying "Epic Fail!" or "OVER 9000", it's so annoying.
What's even more annoying is that they don't know the background info on those phrases!

What the hell has gotten into today's popular culture, starting with some idiots who decided to bring Native Internet culture into popular culture, and now there's a stupid show all about internet culture, with many holes in it, further badly educating and hypnotizing young children to become evil and wretched internet abusers!

.....I feel ashamed to be 12 right now, the age that some children of this generation develop this horrifying habit!

On Topic: Yeah, I also learned that about DNA, and I was like, "Wait, that's sounds kind like Deoxys....wait, Deoxys is the DNA Pokemon!"

Pokemon sure is educational, huh?

@Farren
Yes you can, Peter.

That also means that mushrooms make you grow big, eating flowers make you develop fire-throwing abilities, and you can step on clouds.

Lol, school is there to teach you things so you can apply them to life outside of school, it shouldn't come as a surprise that you can put something you learned at school together with something outside of school to make sense. Anyways, my band teacher tells us to always play with energy, so I always mention something about adenosine triphosphate(sp?) when he tells us that. Being able to connect what I learn in school to my everyday life has made me realize how much I really appreciate school.
