A couple months ago in my town of Azulon, there had lived a villager named "Beau", the lazy orange deer. I was never fond of him, but his house was in such an amazing spot that covered an awkward spot that after I decided to keep him. Sometime due to a TT incident gone wrong, I arrived on the game to Beau's moving day. When he left, a giant awkward empty space resulted.

I've tried thinking of ideas of what to place in that empty spot, but I can't seem to think of anything to do the trick. So I take the question to the forums, what should I do to fill in that awkward empty spot? The town is of the zen themed. Always open to other's opinions. :D

*It is near a bridge*

Oh, I feel you haha. I had Coco move into a spot I was going to use for PWPs so she had a really awkward spot behind her house. I tried putting up PWPs but it looked awful since her house blocks it and eventually took it out. ;^;

Since you have a zen town, maybe a little bamboo forest would suit it with fruit trees. I did a fruit orchard behind Coco's house and it worked like a charm and now the layout doesn't feel weird. Maybe that might help you? :)

Speaking of that, I've just recently began the gardening part of the town and I basically waited a year since I made the town to actually do this step and I've come across some issues. I would grow the bamboo and also water it and yet it would just die the next following day. Any advice you could offer on that area? I like the direction you are thinking for it.

You don't need to water bamboo. Bamboo work like trees, they need to have one space surrounding each shoot. (Bushes can be planted next to them, but be careful not to completely surround the bamboo.) I personally plant a few shoots at a time starting with the outer corner working towards the opposite direction. Since you mentioned you have a bridge nearby, which direction is going? Do you have a picture of the area to get a better idea? :)

If you don't already have a shrine area that might be interesting! The stone tablet is small so you can decorate that same amount of space as you would if there was a villagers home.

hmm... would mushrooms and bushes fit with your zen theme? i think bamboo could also look really nice. i think a zen themed public works project would also look lovely. I'm not sure, but can the grass on dirt paths grow back? because i know i haver a couple in my town that i could certainly do without...

I'll take your advice, thanks. Just wondering though, does Time Traveling kill bamboo? (Late reply)

The zen garden or the wisteria trellis might look nice, if you haven't got those and they wouldn't be blocked by the bridge. I have both of those in my town and I really like them.

If you can still build pwps, put one there (zen clock, zen garden, zen bell, hot spring, geyser etc.) and plant some bamboo around it with flowers between the bamboo. Landscaping around pwps takes up space and looks good :3

Does anyone know if Bamboo dies when you time travel? I'm not entirely sure if it does or not. An answer would be extremely helpful. :p

They can multiple if you don't dig up the bamboo shoots out of the ground. Some might die, only because they were too close to other trees, cliffs or just too many in that area.

So the answer is no? They won't die if you TT forward to speed up their growth?
