Already answered in this thread, Ford abandoned it in '75 and Carter reinstated the program in the event that we ever did have a draft, in '80.


And nobody is arguing whether or not they should dodge it or anything, buti t is entirely unconstitutional, but any and all arguments against it have been overturned by the supreme court, thusly unless someone gets a chage of heart in the capital, or it ever becomes an issue, all guys are stuck with it.
