The Sims thread

Hi there I thought I'd make a sims thread to discuss any and all games in the sims series. Last time I checked, we didn't have a special thread and I would love to be able to discuss it with any players! I only have the sims 3 but hope to get the sims 4 pretty soon.

This thread can be used to share any tips, creations, pictures, stories, questions, and custom content discoveries, or just general discussion.

I want to make a special sims 3 section and a sims 4 section that will include a FAQ, so any information you want it to include is appreciated.

Yayyy I can finally have a place to post about my favorite game
I own The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection and The Sims 3 with all expansion packs and a few stuff packs
Right now I'm playing a legacy family I created named the Zavala's

Dorion Zavala ( Father) is in the Singer career and currently finished his ltw to be a vocal legend. I actually didn't make him, I found him on a tumblr

Syria Zavala (mother) is in the business career. She's not exactly faithful to her husband if you know what I mean..
I created her :] I was trying to make her look a bit different from my regular sims.

I am srsly obsessed with the sims, let me tell you.
I started with ts1 when I was 5 years old and now have pretty much all the games, and ts4. My all time favourite Is sims 2 which is what I mainly grew up with. What's your favourite??

I always wanted to make a story in sims 3, but I end making couples and later I kill em. But now I'm in the sims 4 making a story!

It's a normal boy with a normal house and not a normal boyfriend (Don Lothario). But one day, his house gets full of water and Don Lothario dies by drowning (Sry ) Then, he goes to the house of his best friend, Dave, who falls in love with Jackson. Jackson is depressed, so Dave founds him a girlfriend, Lorrysa. Both fall in love and start a relationship (Jackson & Lorrysa). The "family" moves to another house (Because Dave's one was too tiny for the three.), Lorrysa and Jackson get married and they have to girl twins. I will be let everything pass but... here goes the funny part.

I had in TS3 a sim called Jake Wilson, it was my fav character, so, while the story continues, Jackson will be more similar to him. Jake was a vampire, so I will let Lorrysa and his daughters make old and die, when Jackson stills young adult. The day that Lorrysa dies, he will gave the potion to Dave, and when the vampire expansion arrives (I NEED IT OMG PLS) Jackson will change his name to Jake and become a vampire and Dave a wereworlf or a vampire.

I've been changing the clothes and the style of my sims at some point of the story, because I feel that it's more realistic if they're changes, it's funny.

Oh, yeah, here is a screenshot I took in TS3, it's pretty cool.

Can someone explain poseplayer ugh I can't figure it out.
I have ip the actual mod installed but can't figure out the rest.
Also, has anyone heard of lifesimmer? XD

They're two players, the one that is for animations and the other is for poses. Both can be found in decorations, after you download some poses and install em like a mod, they will show in the pose player, I think xd

Sims 3 is so mean to me plus it always lags. It acts like I'm running it on a toaster. Sims 1 always has a place in my heart because it was one of the first video games I played. Also, I could play it without freaking out about getting shot or getting a game over. ROSEBUD ROSEBUD ROSEBUD

I haven't played the fourth one because it's way to expensive plus if it's like Sims 3, it's gonna run like ****. I also hate "Wishes". I remember when it was simpler. Don't get me wrong, I really dig Sims 3 because I could watch TV and play at the same time. The DLC kills me though...

I got seasons today using my Christmas money and I definitely love it!

The expansions I have as of now are;
Island Paradise
Seasons
Late Night
Ambitions
Generations
Pets
World Adventures
Also high end loft stuff pack but it's really disappointing. Good job I got it second hand for ?5

I had the entire Sims 2 and Sims 3 collections but uninstalled them for Sims 4. I don't regret it because Sims 3 didn't work and Sims 2 was really um horrible with my graphics card. Nothing would work properly, but I still love them very much.
In The Sims for Gamecube, I used to just kill off Sims (I was like 8 so that must've been pretty disturbing). I created a graveyard so large that my town wouldn't even load off the memory card. It would just freeze up completely.
In The Sims 2 I sort of did the same thing only it was for PC and I made an amazing cemetery in the back yard of a 'research facility' that I built.
I never really got to play The Sims 3 much due to how much it was lagging on every computer that I had but the first time I ever played The Sims 3, my sim's butt caught on fire and she died, and the Grim Reaper came over and jumped on the trampoline. He had a really good time, for sure.
In The Sims 4 I've just been building houses and taking pictures of sims for references. Haven't really experienced much of the real gameplay just yet.

I haven't really been able to get into the Sims 4 yet, but with more updates and expansions, I'm sure I will.

Still a mega Sims 3 fan.
