So, I've heard a lot about this (since I'm slightly researches things about the 360, getting one this Christmas) and...it's pretty strange...

Can any Xbox360 get it? What causes it?

And uhh...has anyone here had it?

I've heard there are wierd methods to fix it for a couple days (like the so called "Towel method") but it seems...I dunno'...pretty messed up.

Xbox Magazine (Which is great) had an issue about this in August I think. I had it myself that month

;)

Anyways any Xbox can get it. Its not really known why it happens (there is a theory about the Xbox's shape causing it) If you do get it then you get a free new Xbox. That is, if you don't try to fix it by yourself.

Every 360 will get it no matter what. Some sooner than others of course.
Haha, that's not true.

Get informed about the problem before commenting on it, please.

The problem has to do with the circuitry and heat. The error has been fixed on newer models. If your 360 gets the RROD, you can send it in and get a free replacement, but you may be out of a 360 for a few weeks. It's a good thing that Microsoft is paying the millions to replace the systems, there isn't much else that they can do.

Most of the new models include a new Processor (I think) which uses less electricity, so it causes less heat. And I think the new models also have a new Heatsink or something too.

The RROD is mostly caused by high temperatures in the 360, so always keep your Xbox's fans clear from anything.

What do you mean?
There are fans that ventilate the system on the sides. My new 360 is much cooler than my old one, but also much louder, especially when loading a map for example.
