The Quest for Blue Roses

I gave up and purchased my flowers from others on here, but from my own experience, I never seemed to get hybrids when trying. Back when I would try, I wouldn't get my hybrids for days and stopped caring eventually, and then just today after it rained in my game yesterday, I got a purple rose from some whites I had outside of a villager's home. I feel like my luck and overall achievementa are random and my work doesn't even matter lmao.

It was painful as hell in New Leaf... as a matter of fact I've never grown any in that game at all. I managed to grow two completely by accident in New Horizons though lmao

I just had to start all over a few days ago. I didn't realize I had to get rid of spawns not the color I was looking for. I just reused them with the rest.

Funny thing for me. I went through the effort of trying to spawn blues roses the original way. I had a patch of hybrid reds moved all the way to front of my map for ease of access for others to water. After a week or two of no success, I was walking along the back tier of my island where I keep my extra flowers, and saw that a blue rose had spawned from two black (which spawned from the special reds).

Now I've got a ton of blues thanks to cloning, and I couldn't be happier.

ive had some issues growing roses specifically. ive noticed that the town 'blocks' any flowers from producing anything if you have a large amount of flowers, so i had to sell a bunch of mine. i also noticed that if you put your hybrids in a row instead of in the pattern they suggest they grow A LOT more hybrids. i havent had any luck with roses except once i got a black one. ive had friends over to water them and that didnt work either; and i have them in the suggested pattern too.

I'm going to be totally honest, I just bought two blue roses from someone in Nook's Cranny for TBT and have been cloning them myself.

Just couldn't be bothered to go through the whole process myself...

I was following that insane convoluted guide where you breed a purple, breed an white, breed a purple from white and purple, test the purple, breed a black, breed another white and dkwkkdkskdke and you got a red, breed that red, run around the stone writen L is real 64 times, press xyabyabay down up zl r by and there you got blue roses, but then I was gifted some and now I am just duplicating them.

It's insanely difficult because Blue Roses require a specific genetic line in the game. If you want blue roses, I suggest watching the video below and following his instructions exactly. It'll take you some time, but it should work ^^
