The Message Board Bird

I was playing this morning, and got a crazy but quite clever thought. The Bird on top of the message board (outside the town hall) only appears when there is a new post on the board you haven't read yet. Has anyone else noticed this?

yah i saw on ign website thats a pretty cool feature just hear it tweeting and go
before when i didnt know this i thought you could catch the bird so i used to take out my net and run after it. =P
