the lost items?

i was just wondering why people keep (and sometimes even buy! i've seen them in forum shops) the lost items like mittens, books and paper bags? i know they're cute and all but i never really saw a reason to have/buy them?

i guess they could add a bit of character to room if put in the right place, but they're still only like a 2D image (like when you drop your tools) and i just can't see it working?

I believe that they can be dropped if you take too long to give it back to the correct owner.

Eh, some people really like collecting everything, I guess. I've seen them used to make messy rooms, and I guess they're kind of cute?

It's like how people also like collecting the Harvest Festival items (Flour, Vinegar, etc.). I personally like the those items better; they're cute and work well in a kitchen. But to each their own.

Huh, I didn't realize they could be dropped! I'm saving the next book I get to go in my library! I saved a few of the items from the harvest festival for my kitchen. I'm going to get the rest of them this year.

I think they're cute! I have a bunch of them in my houses haha gives it a... idk... homey feel?? esp the mittens, since that sort of item doesnt exist in ACNL outside of the lost item.

I looove the harvest festival ingredients too, they make my kitchen seem more capable of actually producing food lol

Actually, all the ones I have are ones I've held on accident, and since they're "special" items, I decided to keep them! I think they can be used for decoration in the house to give it a cozy feel. I like the book in particular; it's my favourite.

I like how you can walk over them. And in acnl, they're not /flat/ per se. Try dropping a gyroid and then walk until it's in the horizon. It's kinda neat.

I decided that I'd collect every item in the game. So then I suddenly had to buy them. Also, I used them a few times as part of my decorations. That's 2 reasons there.

I knew you could keep event or special task items in this way, but I've yet to see what the Harvest Festival items look like in a kitchen. I hope they're cute.

Oh and they don't count towards item limits in rooms. My kitchen was stuffed to the limit, but the game let me put the harvest items, etc in there. Basically the items you can walk through seem to be phantom items or something.

All you need to do is hold them in your pocket and pass 6am in the future, then the items can be dropped =D

They go super cute in my sloppy basement, but I think they look great on tables! Usually I can't figure out what to put on tables, but they go well. I also have a lollipop and sugar from Thanksgiving on my tables!
