I apologize if this was answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find it.

I last logged in on Wednesday and sold all of my turnips, then deposited 1.6M bells in the bank. I logged in this morning, and my bag is still full of my last batch of turnips and the money's not in the bank. I don't think it's a connectivity issue, since I still have all of the money from the turnips I'd sold 30 seconds before the batch I still have.

Any ideas?

did you sold the turnips in your island or at another player's island?

i'm guessing other player's island since you mentioned connectivity issues. if so, it sounds like a bug. hopefully the last update didn't break anything.

No, I sold them at my island. I was thinking maybe it updated my progress in the cloud somewhere incorrectly, but now that I rethink it, it doesn't do that at all, does it? But thanks!

It automatically saves every 10 minutes. So maybe it saved halfway through you selling turnips. Did you end your play session simply by closing the game or did you save manually before closing for the night?

This happended to me too, I last playerd on Wednesday and placed a few items down (Market Place Banners, Fortune Cookie Cart, etc.), but today I logged in and they were still in my inventory! Maybe it had to do with the update.

I definitely didn't save manually.

I'm pretty sure the autosave didn't cover your last few minutes of gameplay if you were on your island and not someone else's. I'd always recommend saving manually when you exit just in case to make sure everything you did is saved and so you don't exit out accidentally when it's attempting to autosave if you don't see it.
