Question about weird doll. Before you brought it back, but with limited supply, is there a reason why you initially decided not to let it return?
I'm just acknowledging that someone has seen your question. Unfortunately, I don't have the answer for you! 😅

Are y'all going to bring back the eggs before Easter? I'm now wishing I have an Eevee egg
The next time we would release Easter Eggs would be during an Easter event. But just so you're aware, we don't release all eggs at Easter, so there's unfortunately no guarantee an Eevee Easter Egg would be for sale during that time. 🥚🐣

Ok thanks for letting me know

Does that also mean no Yellow Pikmin Easter Egg or Hoppip Easter Egg too?

I have another question about forbidden subjects. If religion and politics are already forbidden topics, what’s your standing on professional sports and related matter like cheating scandals and other sports controversies? While they aren’t political, people take sports way too seriously in today’s day and age, and the support for one team can be seen as pride in their home cities (or even states).

Another highly controversial topic is celebrity scandals. Even the ones that aren’t about politics involve highly sensitive subjects.

WHY DO YOU KEEP SPYING ON ME

Whenever I visit THIS exact website, nothing else open, my device says my location is being shared with the website.

What is your problem, Bell Tree?

I got this strange pop-up on my phone. Would it happen to be from an ad? I tapped block.

I'm very sorry for the late response on this. I did look into it, and then it slipped my mind.

My understanding is that this is a newer browser security feature that has been, and is being, implemented across many browsers. It's being rolled out on Chrome and Chromium-based browsers like Microsoft Edge and Samsung Internet. It's also being rolled out on Firefox. From what I've seen, the request can come up even for sites that don't need or try to access your local area network (LAN). TBT doesn't need to access any devices on your LAN, and you should be able to continue pressing "Block" without any issues. 😊

Discussions on many topics can become heated, even discussions about Animal Crossing! Thankfully, these types of heated discussions are infrequent on the site, so there won't be any restrictions on discussing innocuous general discussion or hobby topics. 😊

If you'd like to screenshot the message the next time it appears and reply here or make a thread with the image in the Contact the Staff board, we can look into it more closely, since it would be helpful to see the message provided. 😊

Your precise location is never shared with TBT. The information TBT receives about your location is limited to your IP address. An IP address is a number automatically assigned to your internet connection by your internet service provider (ISP). Any site you interact with will receive your IP address, since that's how websites and devices (like a phone or laptop) communicate with each other. IP addresses only provide your broad geographic area and your ISP. In no other cases do we need your location. 😊

Hello! Do you know how to edit my lineup???
In the navigation bar at the top of the screen (under the banner), you can click on the Shop icon, and then click on Inventory. In your inventory, collectibles will be separated by "inactive" and "active" collectibles. Next to each collectible there will be a Settings button, a square checkbox, and a Discard button.

If you click on Settings, you will get a pop-up box. Within that pop-up box:
  • If you check the box that says Active, the collectible will be active and will go to your lineup. If you uncheck it, it will not.
  • If you check the box that says Hidden, the collectible will not be visible to anyone besides you, regardless of whether it is active or not.
  • If you check both the Active and Hidden boxes, your collectible will be listed in your active collectibles instead of inactive collectibles, but it won't go to your lineup, because it's hidden.
  • If you have neither box checked, your collectible will be active and will be displayed in your lineup.

The last thing to note is that you cannot change the order of your collectibles. All collectibles are ordered by date, where the newest collectible is displayed on the top row and far left of your lineup, and the oldest collectible is displayed on the bottom row and far right. If you have more than 10 collectibles not hidden and active, only the 10 newest collectibles will be displayed.

I hope that helps a little bit! 😊

I'll let you know next time it happens.

So to my knowledge, we're not allowed to say certain strong curse words. We'd have to either censor it completely or bypass it with different spellings.

I can speculate why, but just in case, can I have clarification on this stance? And is bypassing a-ok?

Almost every other forum I've seen allows us to swear more freely as long as we're not being disrespectful, so I don't see why TBT should be more strict about it 🤔 Not that I swear all the time, I just can't help but wonder.

Members are allowed to use strong language if they'd like, as long as the words aren't being directed toward other users! TBT doesn't prohibit the words themselves and people are welcome to write them, it's just that when certain words are written in full in English (which we prefer), the forum's automatic censor will asterisk them out.

It isn't ok to bypass the censor by altering spellings, adding spaces or other characters between letters, or using other workarounds.

It is ok to use abbreviations like "LMAO", even though one letter may represent a strong word. While it's preferable to write the full word in English and allow the censor to pick it up, in the Dec 2025 rule update we did modify the rule to allow for the inclusion of one letter only of a censored word. For example, if I wanted to write "heck", I could write "h***". This is the only "acceptable" way of bypassing the censor.

The rule isn't intended to be overly strict about what words are and aren't ok; its primary purposes are to make sure that 1) people aren't the target of strong language or insults, and 2) the forum censor can do its job while keeping things comfortable for everyone! We're definitely open to feedback about the rule. The current survey would be a good place to leave it!

There really isn’t any need to bypass the censor. If it’s a forbidden word, you shouldn’t be saying that word, whether or not you’re dodging the censor. If it’s an acceptable word, there’s no need to even censor the word.

Thank you for clearing this up! ^_^

I haven't experienced the filter firsthand so I actually didn't know it censors stuff automatically! I thought you'd get a warning if you put in the full word, so all of this is pretty good to know.

This is the saddest story ever T^T

Hopefully this is the place to ask this sort of question o: I'm kinda new to the collectibles, is there a price guide for how much a collectible is worth? I've browsed the marketplace and I just don't know how value is determined for these things

There isn't an official one. People make up their own prices, but there usually is a range others are willing to spend for a certain collectible depending on its rarity. Say if the collectible is out of circulation on the shop, was only available one time during an event, or even a common collectible if it's really old because collectibles are time-stamped and older ones go to the back and newer ones at the front. You'll find some members who really get into it and will go through great lengths to get certain collectibles in just the right spots for their lineup.

Oh, so you can't pick and choose where to place them in your lineup? Well, now that will throw a wrench into designing one when I eventually have enough collectibles to start being picky on what shows next to my name

Yup so you'll never be able to have your pear before your orange unless you trade with someone that already has a pear that is dated before your orange. So there's different collectibles that can be lined up. Like Christmas 2023 introduced the train set. So if you were to buy them at random it wouldn't come out right. You will need to buy the locomotive part last. I don't really get into it as much as others, but that time I spent so much time in the shop hoping I didn't mess up when purchasing the train set lol.
