The Hunger Games

It wasn't lame.. But I've never read the book. Maybe it seems lame compared to how they described it in the book. But without reading it, it looked pretty cool.

The book made it sound like she was actually on fire, but from what I've heard, her dress simply turns a different color.

It's a really nice dress, but it doesn't look like what I was expecting.
Don't spoil anything for me though.

I just saw it and it was amazing! The costumes were very good, the fight scene was intense and there were few details that I can remember that were left out or added in. It was one of the best movies I have ever seen.

Anyone else who's read The Long Walk agree that there's some kind of similarity going on..? I've been wondering ever since I've read The Hunger Games.

I think you should watch
This is exactly what I thought of when I heard about the Hunger Games.

Still, though. I've heard nothing but positive things about the movies. Having not read the books and having no plans to, would it be a movie for me to see? Would it be worth it?

My dad went with my sister, he never read the book and assumed it would be a lame, poorly made movie. He enjoyed it as much as we did. I would recommend reading it first (Why don't you want to?) but it would still be a good movie without the previous knowledge from the book.

@BaconBoy Yes it's worth it. It's a great movie even if you haven't read the books. The only real advantage you'd have by reading the books is just a dialogue running through your head to fill in things the movie missed.
