That happens to me all the time... I get really pissed when I have to read the same page over and over to fully understand it. I had to do that a lot while reading Call of the Wild. I just kept getting sidetracked.UltraByte said:That happens to me all the time... Really? I read it constantly to the end, which I've never done with a book I wasn't forced to read for school, except for Call of the Wild of course.only_half_evil333 said:I hated Call of the Wild with a passion. That was the only aspect of the book that I had actually liked. White fang is better.TheGremp said:Really? I loved how he gave the dogs complex personalities, solely by action. I wouldn't have gone near the book if they friggin talked. xD
Next I want to read White Fang, should be the same kind of style.
Hes a great author, its just the type of stuff he writes about just doesn't catch my eye.Bulerias said:Hey, Jack London's stuff is awesome. : (only_half_evil333 said:I hated Call of the Wild with a passion. I couldn't stand To Kill A Mockingbird. Definately not my type of book. Though, yeah, It's certainly a classic.Gengar said:[quote="Shadow_] I'm not reading anything right now, but I did just finish To Kill a Mockingbird for school. It's only short, around 270 pages, but it's a classic.
Yeah, speed-reading is the only kind of reading for me. @JJH: Yeah, that was my goal, too. XD Read about 100 pages/50 min, when I finished I was sad because it was over that fast.
Yes, I do. I'm starting to get bored easily whenever I read, so it takes longer for me to read stuff. But I can read really quickly when I want to.Bulerias said:I can read a 200 page book in a few hours... you must have a lot of books if you don't have time for one more.K-Dog said:Because I have too many books to read for the rest of this year. Why not read it this year?
