That was the first Countdown even I've participated in - and omg the fireworks was just incredible! Took so many screenshots

Honestly, there was more celebrations in Animal Crossing than there were in my real life ;-;

Fireworks and the music in the game are beautiful on New Years.
First year I missed the 2014 in fireworks. The 2nd year I saw 2015 in the sky and thought it was a new thing.
Took a lot of pictures and spent time dancing while we waited for 2018. Got 4 villager, Redd and Isabelle dancing at the same time.

The fireworks in the summer are amazing too, every Sunday in August there's a firework show. You can get cool items from it too.

I never get to see them, as that's when every villager decides they should drop more unwanted flowers.

I spend every festivity digging up flowers.
I eventually gave up on trying to enjoy the fireworks, with that constant 'plop' sound of dropped flowers. :-/

Weird. My villagers didn't plant anything, neither on Toy Day nor on New Year's Eve. Do you have a lot of flowers in your town? I noticed that they like to plant additional flowers to existing flowerbeds. I don't have a lot of flowers in my town since I'm trying to get specific hybrids in an assigned corner of my town, my villagers don't go to that corner often, so the seldom plant flowers.

Oh, and I found the fireworks beautiful! It was the first time for me experiencing New Year's in AC.

I have a ton of flowers.

In August, every fireworks show they dropped flowers continually.

I'd dig them out, then come back and find 3 more in the same area.

That's nintendo.
They give you the beautiful town ordinance, but the time saved watering, is spent digging up what the villagers drop.

It's become a full-time job in my town.
Really takes the enjoyment out of it. :(

Just out of curiosity, why didn't you see the fireworks and left the flower tending to the other day? In the end, they'd be gone either way...

Eh, I was looking forward to countdown and when it finally happened it was cute but I thought it was kinda boring :/

the thing I liked the most was seeing a few of my villagers with their party hats on and they were all at the plaza, and seeing them shoot their party poppers :) I took so many photos lol

You know, I was asking myself, when i watched the fireworks for about a minute last night. Who is setting those off? All the villagers are either in their house or in the plaza, Isabelle is in the plaza and the shop keepers stay glued to their shops. So who is setting off fireworks? They don't go off by themselves. Is it Tortimer setting them off?

But on topic, they were nice. I like watching them. They look realistic too, not all pixalated and video game looking either.

One town's in February, one town's in May and the other's in October.....boo
