The firefly model lights up!

I just saw this on reddit, and I remember there being a thread asking about this a few weeks ago... yes the firefly model lights up! I wonder if there are any other special models (other than the grand models)? Flick truly prefers bug models haha

Crud, now I need to store three of these for two weeks, which is more than likely the next time I see Flick. My Great Purple Emperor model will arrive tomorrow.

Also, why can't Flick be like Celeste where we can visit them once a day, regardless of location, and get a model made?

At least fireflies are so common you could prob just wait until he comes again to catch them haha

I agree, like we can buy art from redd on other islands, why cant we requests models from cj and flick too

That would be a huge QoL improvement for sure, it makes a ton of sense considering the length of time between visits.

I wish the model was in flight mode though.

It looks like it's doing that stiff bug thing when there's danger afoot and they are "thinking" what to do.

I found the actual fireflies in NL to be much brighter.

They are very dim in NH, and the model looks better than the actual firefly.

I was hoping when you put them down they wouldn't be in a cage.

I'm glad to have come across this thread, thanks for spreading awareness! I came across one of these firefly models at a friend group swap meet and decided to take it in exchange for something else. I noticed some yellow but didn't look particularly closely. Good to know, and I'm happy that I have one now.

Flick does indeed prefer the bug models. I've noticed the smaller the bug, the more detailed their model, and they're the ones I tend to prefer. The flea, fly, and mosquito all have really cool models, though I don't have any of them yet so I don't know (and kind of doubt) that they have any unique features like this, other than being far more detailed than they look normally.

Oh I need this.
I was a bit underwhelmed by the actual firefly out on display.
I was hoping it would be in a pretty jar of sorts and I could use it around my Island. This is still very cool though.

I honestly just place them around my island randomly LOL. So right now they are all over the place haha. I don't mind though since my island isn't 5 stars or fully furnished yet XD

I read a couple weeks ago on Reddit that it doesn't light up and I was disappointed.
Good to know now that these light up!
