the end of an era ~

well, not a particularly lengthy era, but i lost my main town of Sanuye recently.
i'm only a bit gutted though cos i didn't invest an insane amount of time into it, i felt more guilty for losing my mam's character to be honest, ha! & losing Ankha, i have loved her from the start, but it's not the end of the world c:

sO, i've started anew ( which means my second town is more developed than Sanuye now! ;o ) yep, same name, same mayor and secondary character, but a complete different look. i'm actually quite excited, i'm happy enough with my villagers & my map, after a few resets of course...

my only concern is what to actually do with my town, i'm super picky when it comes to paths so i'm thinking natural dirt paths & secluded areas, once i get the desired pwp's of course!
as much as i would like to plan out my town in detail like some of you lovelies do, i just don't have the patience! mad props to y'all who do.
if you have any ideas or dream addresses that may pique my interest please let me know, it would be very much appreciated!


i'm not sure where else i was going with this thread in all honesty, i just felt the need to share because in a way i'm fairly glad this happened ~ had i developed my town completely this could've been a different story of course, but maybe it's been a blessing in (a very poor) disguise!

tl;dr - my main town has disappeared into the ether but it's all good, thinking of a 'natural' town so ideas are much welcomed <3 xox

& you! it's exciting isn't it? I like starting over, that's why i got a second copy so when i feel the urge to start over i can just use that one instead (altho i have Beau & Erik in that town and i'm so so attached to them rn hehe)

I'm in the same boat as you. Pripyat is technically my second town, but it's become my main town. My original town was almost a year old when I created Pripyat last April. But, long story short, I erased that first town in the fall and started over...several times. I just kept getting bored or I changed my mind about things. I'm ready to restart again (using the same name and characters as before) for a final time. I will take my time to carefully choose a map and stick with it! I think I'll do it tomorrow, so my TPC can have the cool date of February 29 on it.

I don't think I could find the courage to start again, the game is so slow at the beginning, waiting for the PWPs suggestions, waiting the the shops to upgrade, I don't TT so it takes such a long time, I wouldn't even go back a few months, my houses were disasters. Kudos to you all

when i first started i had no idea about different maps! I just went in absolutely clueless, and while it was fun to begin with, later on it became rather difficult to work with.
when choosing the map for Sanuye the second i considered my mayors house, secondary characters, campsite and cafe - i think it should do just fine now!
i wish you the best for your new town! i keep forgetting that it's a leap year - it's my cousins birthday too! so really she'll only have had 5 real birthdays aha

i do time travel but not extensively, so while it will take a while i don't think it'll be too excruciating (ihopeihopeihope)
you have had your town for a good while though! I'd find it dubious to start again after all that hard work, especially as you play it in real time ~
